Just like waiting for a health check, stress waiting for the appointment o come round, sweaty palms while being examined and more nerves while you listen to the consultant give his diagnosis.

At least you are going to a highly recommended consultant.

Pops

Gareth would have inspected it prior to purchase.....That said I know the car & the owner so no worries there.

There's a few of us attempting to post the slowest recorded laps @ Silverstone on the 01st June.

Be good to see S33 if you can make it.

Cheers guys,

I'd planned to get Gareth to give any potential purchase a onceover however, with it being sold through Millenium Heroes, it wasn't going to be do-able.

I was guided by the rep of both Vic and the car on here, a full service history and the subframe having been sorted by Elms ( along with a certificate of repair ). I also spoke to Gareth and he said that although he hadn't serviced the car, as far as he was aware, it was a well looked after car.

If I'm home for the Silverstone trip I will come down and meet some of you. Will be good to be able to put names to faces

Well, home with Cesil and what a car!!

Yes, was aware how good they are after a ride in Peters' but, when you're in your own CSL and have a decent drive home (150 + miles ) it brings it home actually what an animal they can actually be.

As you're probably aware, I bought the car through Millenium Heroes and have to say what an excellent service they give. Very relaxed and not like the normal garage experience..plus some fantastic cars to drool over.

Was very nervous, or maybe even scared, of the SMG but tried it in auto to start with. after 2 minutes took a Man Up pill and used the paddles, never looked back!!

Off to the garage now to have a drool over the bonnet

Did Sir Gareth of Bartlettshire check your car over?

pops

No mate.

I spoke to him re the car and he said although he knew it he hadn't worked on it. He was aware though that it had been well looked after.

The floor has a certificated repair from Elms and a FSH and tbh is virtually immaculate.

It's in with him tomorrow for a once over.

And breathe.

Took Cesil into Bartletts this morning for one of Gareths health checks.

Nervous? Me?..nooooo, never

Was pacing about like an expectant father, they were thinking of charging me for a replacement carpet in reception.

Apart from a broken exhaust hanger, it passed with flying colours and to quote Gareth, "it drives beautifully and you've bought a good un".

Had oil service, 4 uprated head light bulbs and new rear brake pads and I had a grin a mile wide

Had a few hours out this morning with a guy called Adam Ball from the MiniFoo forum, he's a bit useful with a camera.

Thing is, no matter how many pics are taken, I don't think they can do a Cesil justice.

I can ask him if you wish?

Will possibly involve a few sheckles changing hands.

He lives in Walsall so if he can get, he can drive to me and I'll bring him down. Keeps his costs down a bit.
