Evening
Should I be worried about the condition of front discs or is simply crazing and normal? Thought about having them skimmed to see if it gets rid of the fine lines.

Haha hard to photograph but mine have loads of very small cracks running through them.

No mate. Mine are worse than yours and I'm not worried. Until they are physical cracks like Shimmy posted then I'm not worried
My disks are just the same fine to use

Performance friction discs have loads of what looks like cracks.
But they will wear till there are no more grooves.

Thanks for feedback just wanted some peace of mind as brakes and tyres not to be messed with.

Depend billy on heat cycles and cooling temps, I've had some sets of PF dmcrack before the grooves go.
Make sure you keep an eye on the inside disc and feel for a slight brake click which can be the pad travelling across any small crack

Yes and PF last slightly longer
I think from reputable suppliers aP should be very slightly cheaper around £200+vat

By the same logic, are PF at a similar reduction?
Sorry for the thread Hijack, but it's a related topic toenheel...

If you need new discs let us know. I have quite a few sets of both AP Racing and Performance Friction. Will post up in FS section when I get a minute.

I guess none Billy. The back is probably to the edge due to higher temps.
Personally id change them now as worse case, your brake callipers get ripped off the hub.

That was my first thought, I was trying to find your picture when they cracked.
My other 2 sets seemed to wear better, think I've done more days on these and harder on brakes/ more heat cycles.

im not sure when cracking occurs, I think fast cooling can be an issue so winter cold days maybe speed it up?
Ive been back from a TD with worse, but never decided to go out on ones that bad.

Try Ian at Godspeed they make them to suit various fitments, even if it's not on the web site. 1/2 the price of APs, They use them to race so they must be 1/2 decent and no negative reviews from what I can see.
