The warning light was on so I filled it up, only for it all to appear in a puddle under the car. Are these easy /cheap to fix?

Might just be the pipe but it's a bumper off job, I got mine replaced under warranty a few years back

I've replaced mine too. Can't remember cost, but it's unique to the CSL

Leak is bad enough that the light comes straight back on. I haven't gad it two weeks yet and it has a warranty, so might follow that route depending on cost.

If your excess is £100 then it will be viable to submit a claim via Mondial.
£250 excess and it might be marginal.
Probably worth getting an estimate from BMW (don't mention the warranty) and then submit a claim on the basis of the price given.
As peeps have mentioned it's a bumper off job so may incur an hour or more of labour alone.

I have been told I can get to it from inside the wheel arch to see what is going on, so will do that tomorrow.

Did you manage without taking the bumper off? Any pointers appreciated.

Offside flipper off and a 'Gaffer Tape' patch, sorted!
I noticed that the bottom of the bottle was cracked when I took the flippers off for 'MarkCSL' to re-lacquer.

You can get to the motors from the wheel arch
here is the bottle with the bumper off it takes 20min to remove the bumper if you have the tools

Easiest way to get to that filler pipe is to actually take the indicator out
But yes you can actually take the filler bottle out without removing the bumper - it's the bottom trim arch that you remove - which is piss easy ( 2 plastic rivets, 4 x 8mm screws and it's out in no time.

It looks like I have found the problem...

I have put the pipe back on, thinking about it I should have tried to blow it through to make sure there was no blockage, I guess I will find out soon enough. It did look like the rubber seals on the motors might be leaking very slightly so I will have to look at these at some point.
