Now I could just be being paranoid but I thought I’d put out this warning regardless.

I think someone is trying to pinpoint the physical location of a CSL by selling CSL specific parts on Ebay.

Look out for someone with zero feedback or eBay history selling a small CSL specific item. They’ll message you to ask if you actually own a CSL, as they’d like to see the item go to a real owner. If you answer in the affirmative you’ll then be pestered to death to make the purchase.

You may think that none of the above is that unusual, but the way I’ve been pursued is just super, super, fishy and way over the top. So fishy that I began to wonder what this person was really after. Then it dawned on me. As soon as I provide my shipping details this person has the location of a CSL. I wonder why they’d want that…….

I may just be paranoid. But just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you.

If anybody wants more specific details then PM me.

I'm no dafty, I'd not post something like this up if my gut wasn't telling me that something wasn't quite right.

You have PM.
It's probably better to make it public knowledge since it's a "Community Alert" as you put it ;)

Sure but I'd rather not risk being accused of slander over the internet. Happy to PM people the details but I'm not going publish openly on the forum. The seller should be easy to spot if he tries the same tactic.

If you just bid on an item, win it, pay for it and have it delivered there is no way you will know though is there? I understand your concerns about not wanting to be accused of slander though, please PM me the details.

At a guess your referring to seller: 'nubebube2010' who was originally selling a complete CSL engine and Airbox for £500 then later changed pricing to a more realistic £3,500 and now listing has vanished into cyber space??

I would have thought most people buying CSL parts on eBay have standard E46 M3s
