Has anyone on here run both and have any views as to how good the PSS is when compared to a Cup tyre?

I'm interested in on-the-road reviews rather than on-the-racetrack...

For road only in all conditions you are better off with PSS and they will have very good grip.

In the dry cups are unbelievable and make the car come alive.

MPSS is a fantastic wet/dry tyre. If you look at the tread I'd seriously consider 245 front and 275 rear over usual sizes.

however when you put Cups on it seems to suit the car. I couldn't believe the difference in feel on road even with standard size Cups. It has to be tried. Their standing water performance can leaves but to be desired but if you have the ability to drive an alternative car 20 days a year Cups are the business.

Thanks for the feedback, once the PSS are worn out I'll look at the cups, but given the low mileage I do that may be quite a while!

Cups transform the car, even on the road. I change to PSS in the winter.

 For me Michelin CUPs complete the whole CSL experience :supz: and to be fair CUPs aren't that scary in the wet either provided they are relatively fresh & tready  but more importantly only used when the ambient temperatures are way above 7 deg.C

Although to be fair Cups in the wet, dark night, DuncanR a mobile phone, driving one handed IS scary

I Remember this scenario at the Pistonklause very very early one morning.

The chassis was developed around the Cups, so optimal. The MPSS's will be fine when you are down to 1.6mm tread. ;)

What about original cups vs new spec cups?

And I meant cup2 vs cup, not the cup+...

I think this is all BOLLOCKS unless breaking speed limits by some way or tracking the car. Those who can't drive will not know what the fuck they have underneath them and those who can drive will know the tyres and pressures that suit them.
Hence Dunc, bald cups, one handed, in the wet, all under control and laughing at all this talk on tyres :finga:

I thought I could drive the csl on cups......until I saw shim, barry and NJ at Assen & Spa doin' what they do........

Anyone who professes to maximise the cups on the track are competent drivers......I am not there yet but I promise to keep trying;)
