Hi ladies and gents

I am close to pulling the trigger on this but wanted to know if anyone on here has owned it.

Any thoughts appreciated! Cheers

I haven't seen the car so cannot comment on its condition.

Out of interest, are you getting your own HPI check done?

ohhhhh ok, will try and get in touch with him. From what i can see there were clutch slurring issues, not sure if that is something to be overly concerned about or if he sorted it ;-/

If it hasn't had a clutch slur then its a totally bogus car and probably a 318is!!;)

Seriously though the clutch slur is usually remedied by a good hard thrashing.

Umpteen threads on the subject. Quick search will reveal all.

Understood RE the clutch slurring.

TBH the fact i would be the 10th owner doesnt so much bother me, its just ensuring that its mechanically sound. or should 10 owners bother me lol

Would anyone be able to suggest anyone who i could pay to take a look at the car i.e compression tests etc. I just dont want to buy a dud CSL and be lumbered with it!

I'd also be interested to see if it's possible to find out if there's anyone who's expertise can be sought with beer / petrol tokens.

clutch slurr remedy for me was a new clutch, non-leaking SMG actuator (ever so slight leak) and 2 new gearbox springs. Does not slur even after pussy footing in traffic all day long. Just wack, bam, snap now. :smokin:

BMW would check over the car for free but you may need to pay for a compression test, like Billy says, where are you based

100 % agree with billy, the compression test is stage 1 in your road to purchase.

Bartlett auto in Huntington is the place to get the car checked over. Current owners should be obliging if they're serious about selling.
They have the jedi master of csl tech's......Gareth... aka giraffe on here.

Oh great stuff so BMW can do the compression test. To be honest i am waiting for NJ to get some new stock, i do like the SB but prefer the SG. Just need to wait for the right one at the right price!! But when i do i want to get it tested to make sure its healthy. I am located in North London, but would travel anywhere for the right one!

I'd second Adem as he's Enfield based  He's very knowledgeable, thorough and he'll tell it as it is, no BS :smokin:
