Will be interesting to what this fetches - I gave up trying to find one in the end, they always seem to fetch silly money!
I wish I had 10 of the feckers - I could pay some school fees :bigcry:

Taking the keyring value and compare to the cars and a CSL represents amazing value! I'm upping my agreed insurance valuation.

I'm booked in...
Received this but I wouldn't say the condition is fantastic as suggested in the eBay ad. Couple of dents and very worn on all edges, I have filed a PayPal dispute.

We will see, seems I am a conman.
I probably shouldn't have offered her 50 pounds for it and just said to take it back and give me a refund. I still think 50 is a more than fair price to be honest given the condition. They must be wired to the mood putting a reserve of 350 on it knowing the condition.
Anyway she escalated it to PayPal so lets see what they say.

Gavin, someone told me once that if you mention the Financial Ombudsman in your dealings with a Paypal claim they pay more attention to the case. This is because it costs them a few hundred quid when the FO becomes involved whatever the outcome.
I had a dodgy case with them a few years ago and they sided with the buyer. I thought this unfair to say the least and told them I was refering the case to the FO. They settled immediately as a "gesture of goodwill".
The keyring is very definately NOT in "fantastic condition".

This seller is most definitely on something :weedman: Aside from the OTT price and poor quality ... £15 for postage !!! Where on this planet did she send it from ? outer Patagonia ? :banghead:
While there is no harm in trying to re-negotiate a more representative price this may go slightly against you in the eyes of Pay Pal... however that said, what is indisputable is that this item is most definitely "Not as described". This is usually enough do get a full refund under the R&R of Pay Pal buyer protection.
Also if you can prove to Pay Pal you were overcharged for postage then that will go extremely well in your favour.
Best of luck Gav

Have to agree its not in a good condition and not worth the £360 paid for it however..... Its worth more than £50 as I would buy it in that condition for a fair bit more so if you do get it and want to sell it on then PM me ;)

"Very, Very Rare, BMW M3 CSL Carbon Fibre Keyring. Totally Original, Used, In Fantastic Condition. Comes in the original BMW Grey Box. Part Number - 80540301625
These are no longer available and are rarer than the cars themselves."
The operative word in this instance being Used, 10 years of use is bound to leave it's mark. However the 4 pics give little clue to the condition of the keyring itself, 3 being of the box (which looks to be in good condition) the 4th with keyring boxed cleverly disguises the edges. Caveat Emptor
Other ones which have been sold over recent years have been New, therein lies the difference! ;)

The bottom line 'in my opinion' is the ad was misleading, like you said the pictures disguise the damage and its certainly not in fantastic condition as suggested. If they were more honest with the pictures and used more appropriate wording about the condition then I wouldn't have bid.
I will let you know what PayPal decide, thank you all for your comments.

PayPal are letting me return it for a full refund.
After careful review, we have determined that you are eligible for a refund. To qualify for this refund, please ship the items whose claims were granted back to the seller in their original condition and keep your tracking information. You are responsible for shipping and handling costs.

From the leftover carbon fibre of the roofs that were made.
So if we get enough key rings then the roof shortage ceases to be a problem.:clown:
