Does the SMG block shift say from 5-2 by simply holding down the left paddle? Tks

If you mean gear shift speed, you've got the piano keys button directly behind the gear shift.

Holding down the left paddle just holds it on a hill, that's what one does anyway, mind you I am pissed 😜

Erm...not sure about bloke shifting as you would a conventional manual. A double click will bang it up or down two gears. I would go out and try the 5th to 2nd thing but am also intoxicated and the roads are salty!:banghead:

Not because of me might I add!

Not that kind of night in! I blame a lack of posts in the men's room ;)

Never tried it, but I doubt it. How is the gearbox to know which gear you want.

Let us know how you get on. Hope you have fun.

Man, this means just holding down the paddle and the gearbox will select the lowest possible gear to be in (Manual mode)

Anyway, the CSL won't block shift. you have to click 3 times to get from 5th to 2nd in manual mode

also, when in noise test and in neutral, the csl only revs to 6,000 rpm.....

anyway had a good day out. slippery on cups in the morning but getting better by the afternoon when temps got to 7C.

The CSL will rev right round when warm in neutral, limits the revs when cold as its not good to rev them round when cold:bigcry:

no it doesn't. mine stops at 6k when in neutral.

fully warmed up after 15 laps on brands.

It revs all the way round on the rev counter wether hot or cold.

If the car isn't moving and isn't in dyno mode then no, it doesn't, or at least mine didn't. Dyno mode exists to fix this very problem!

So are you saying that, if you turn the car on, keep it in neutral it will not rev passed 6k revs?

That would be pretty handy at snetterton where they make you db test at 6k revs

I don't know the exact RPM figure but it is around 6k, might be noisier on the limit than just below it though!

but if thye say 6k revs, of course we only do 5k revs.

I have only ever given them 2/3 rds of the revs

msv tracks know m3s...

they ask for 6k w/o checking the tachometer.

btw, how is dyno mode achieved?
