Just in case anyone has one and had similar issue as me or just about to buy one or a M4.
Welcome any feedback to what the problem may be.

Seems there are a few other problems to look out for too!

Trouble when you start to look, you find loads of issues.
Hope BMW jump on these issues and sort it out rapidly.

I did love it for the week I had it!
Drove very well, and felt nimble.
Carbon Ceramics had great feel even when cold.
Surprising the leg room in the back
The LED headlights are excellent

There are a few other minor issues I had too that I didn't list on PH, to look out for.
Boot wouldn't shut properly.
Isofix is unusable for the kids seats.
Doors seals squeak like mad.
Lots of road noise in back, sounds like window is down.
Comfort access only works on front doors, not an issue on a M4

This might bring the price of them down a bit!
Hope you get a good one.
All the best
Shawn

I am unaware, I would hope the dealership has made them aware.
I need to find the number and make sure they are.

0800 325 600 is the only number you'll need :smokin:
... and don't hold your breath for your dealer to give BMW HQ the bad news, it's down to individual owners to inform BMW (GB) HQ directly.
Good luck

Result, cheques in the post!
full refund
I hope they sort the issues out soon, As I want to get back in one and not go to the dark side of a C63

Great result Shawn.

May be an obvious comment, but It's these kind of things that make you wonder if getting into a new car at launch is akin to being a guinea pig for the manufacturer.

Thanks, like Mr Kemp said on TV tonight it doesn't feel like I won, just didn't lose!
Certainly glad I didn't PX my A7 and had it to fall back on for the time being.
Looking at Bimmer post and my experience it certainly looks like we are a load of Guinea pigs.
I hope I catch wind of when they sort the issues out, so I can get one back on order again. Maybe a evolution by that time with some extra hp!

Congrats  Do BMW know what the real problem is ?

Thanks, weirdly feel gutted:bigcry: but feel relieved I wont be putting misses and kids in a awkward situation if it happened again when she was driving.

According to the dealer BMW are unaware of any brake problem/s!
It’s on a Puma case whatever that maybe!
I hope they send the car back to BMW UK or Germany to sort it, and not sale it to some unsuspecting punter.

If anyone on here can follow the Puma case, I would appreciate it if they can let me know the outcome?
Thanks in advance

Out of interest, did BMW offer to take it back, or did you insist?

Good to hear BMW took it back, Shawn.

Did you ever see the videos of the poor Canadian bloke, who had to battle really hard with Porsche to get them to take back his 997 which had numerous serious faults?

I had to insist, about 20 times or so.
When I mentioned I would contact BBC watchdog, they said they would get back within 24hrs , which they did to tell me cheque was in the post.
I will have to search to watch the video.
