996tt is seriously good value at the mo

very very true, i was going to use it on track, i have bought brakes, coilovers, track tyres etc etc, big big expense none of it fitted yet,
i was going to buy gt3 cup suspension links, toe links, bump steer links, uprated roll bars, intercoolers, bigger turbos, exhaust, full track set up etc,
i added everything up that i had spent and needed to spend on top and sh*t a brick. far too much for me at present,

i was going to buy either a gtr or csl/996tt,

opted out of the gtr (price dictated), and decided on the 996tt for myself, (tuning potential in years to come swayed me somewhat). but after doing the maths i could have just bought the gtr out of box toy and have change from the cost for my 996tt plans.

with my first baby on the way, im trying to play sensible

im going to buy a csl, sell my porsche and the garage full of parts i have for it, kw clubsports, roll bars, diverter valves, tyres, wheels, exhaust, gt3 calipers, pf discs and pads, all brand new and all needs to go.

the 996 turbo is my favourite car in the world, and it is absolutely awesome, faultless, up to 30mpg on motorway run was biggest pleasant surprise for this supercar,
but i want a track/weekend car that im not going to spend a mortgage on, if i keep the 996 it will become a big moneypit, money that ill never get back. and i dont want to be tracking 45-50k of metal, im not that rich :-D
