Having been a member of this forum for some 8 months, and searched for the 'right' CSL for the past 5 months, I'm pleased to have finally taken the plunge and bought a Silver Grey car.

The car in question has been advertised by a notorious Oxfordshire based CSL trader for a number of months, and despite having initially viewed the car within a week of it first being advertised, it has taken a further three months of contemplation on my part to take the plunge.
I collected the car from Lloyd motor Group in Carlisle on Monday. Lloyd's originally supplied the car in 2004 and subsequently undertook the running in service and MOT'd the car in 2006 and 2007. Since 2007 the car has been in storage, and has been fanatically cleaned to concours standards by the previous owner. Prior to me collecting the car, Lloyds have undertaken a full recommissioning service and the car is now road worthy again. The 200 mile drive home from Carlisle was an absolute delight, although due the traditional bank holiday rain, the car is no longer as clean as when I collected it. So I have a cleaning project to look forward to over the coming weekends!

The car has also been returned to factory OEM specification with the aftermarket carbon trim, exhaust and springs all being replaced by the previous owner prior to sale.

I will post some photos in due course.

cheers
David

Congrats Tourer, good choice of colour. Some people choose black but im pretty sure its only because they couldnt find a grey one.

Thanks for the replies gents.

In answer to your questions yes I believe I is Cosmic Boys old car.

I did consider buying a low mileage Black CSL but felt that the Black car had less visual impact than a SG car. For me SG is the signature colour of the CSL and creates a striking contrast with the carbon trim. Black on the other hand has a far more subtle contrast. Possibly the ultimate Q car ?

I certainly intend driving the car which is why invested in the recommissioning service. I doubt whether I'll drive it like I stole it ( I'm fortunate to own a GT3 for more spirited driving) but given my proximity to mid Wales the CSL will be enjoyed on some excellent driving roads.

great to hear the welsh borders have gained another cesil. As for the roads they are epic. RickH and a few others are frequent visitors.
