Hi guys!

Went to Destination Nürburgring 10 this week. Really nice to see a couple of members on here live.

Thought I'd share my fastest lap.
Hope you enjoy it!

Great to see you again this year. Hope the 18hr drive home wasn't too bad.

Enjoyed the vid, it's been a long time since I've watched a ring vid to the end.

Big slide at steilstrecke and a big hold up at pflanzgarten 3, you still went under 8 mins for a full lap:thumbs:

Great to see you to. Wifey says hi by the way!

The 18h drive home actually became a 23h drive after the trailer decided to lock it brakes and make a huge flatspot on one of the tires. Anyway, home now. Hope to see you at DN11! ;)

Hello back to wifey :smt039
That's not so good about the trailer. We left about 10min after you and got in the door 15:30 this afternoon. Long journey but as always it's worth it.
Only managed minimal track time due to the various issues on track but the social side of it made up for it

What's the spec of the car? I think I counted a 7:54 full lap? Nippy :)

I have a build thread on this forum if you want the full spec, but the short version is ESS supercharged e46 M3 with PeeBee steering, AP brakes, Intrax suspension, carbon roof, brooks wing.

7:51 without the old starting grid wich is a common "Full lap" counting point.

So it takes a supercharger to be as fast as a CSL

Great vid.

Yeah, it takes a supercharger and slicks to almost be as fast as a CSL ;)

They actually take the cones away to do the "official" lap times, so it's a proper full lap but if we ever time we do it from the end of the pit straight to the beginning again like you say. 3 seconds sounds about right, I've never been flat out down that bit though!

Setra - I had a camera facing out of the back window on my M3 and have you in it through the Hatzenback section :smokin:

This is an 8.00 BTG as had a bit of traffic but you get a much better impression of the gradients and speed.

Pause and watch in HD/720p for best quality

Hi Ali good to see you again
You certainly was flying to fast for me this year you past me and was long gone as good as the e36 was though the corners and braking the straight line speed was way off the e46 however I did enjoy taking something different and had a few grate bashes next time I'll be back in the CSL and hopefully have a few laps with you again

Was good to catch up and get a bit of banter in the carpark and to see the E36 out there getting used also. Yeah, I think the S54 powered cars do seem to have the legs although don't think there is much difference in the corners.

Would be great to see the CSL back there next year - really good laps out last time. Will try and get to DN11 if the dates work out :smt023
