Trying to find out how much weight I have removed from the M3 to compare it to the CSL . Anyone got accurate info figures for weight of CSL and M3 and what is included, i.e. driver weight, fuel, luggage, extras. Lots of varying figures on net. Thanks

My CSL with SS lightweight, AP racing brakes and the Ohlins suspension is 1400kg with full tank, without driver and nothing stripped out of the car (it has Xenon, AC, rain sensor and radio // also fire extinguisher, triangle, tyre mobility kit etc).

Yeap Nathan .
Minus ~9kg from the suspension, a couple more from the wheels.
Fair enough, maybe it's not 1400kg but 1405kg, with a few cds, sun glasses, fire extinguisher, triangle, 1lt of spare oil, an umbrella, a net holding the things in the luggage compartment, a silvester fury toy, a reflective vest, an OBD bluetooth adapter, a few coins (EUR and CHF) and other things that I am forgetting.
So I am pretty sure if I remove all the above, I have -5kg and therefore the 1400kg is realistic.

You love to pick on me, don't you ?

Behave! Hardly picking, the only thing we don't agree on is your optimistic dyno figures :bigcry:

I searched and found that thread to see how heavy mine used to be as I thought it was a lot heavier than yours but couldn't remember the figures.

I think mine was 1350kg at its lowest with rear seats removed, boot emptied, passenger seat removed, AP, Intrax, SS, Recaro, pollen filter out, Volks, Braille.

(I apologies up front if someone checks my previous posts and they tell a different story )

The Swiss CSLs are simply faster :blalalala:

Remember yours is rhd and has less ponies.

Shimmy the lhd ones are a bit lighter due to the lightweight carpet

Today Adem and I put the m3 on the scales with no driver and 3/4 of fuel = 1380kg

That's with interior stripped, ap's, intrax and air con removed. Still got oem exhaust and loads of stuff to fit.

Last time the Csl was on the scales it was 1387 kg with half a tank.
That was with all interior and full supersprint system and ap's and intrax.

Shimmy I still have some setting you sent me from Simpsons your car was 1375 in 2010.

M3 rear has been stripped, half cage, bucket seats, aps , kw, very lightweight exhaust (being replaced with eisnmann), still got air con and HK stereo, 3/4 tank of fuel, csl wheels and me at 100kg car weighted in at 1584kg

Just had my m3 corner weighted with safety devices 6 point cage, sparco buckets, standard 18" m3 wheels, federal rsr's, nitrons, ap's, supersprint rear and cats with a full tank and it weighed in at 1405kg! I think the cage weighs approx 80kg so without the cage should be around 1325!

It surprised me I was expecting less as there is nothing in the back of car.The only thing I have added is a half cage about 20kg. The standard seats are so heavy was expecting a bigger weight reduction. Air con and stereo may have to go soon. First track day next week see how it compares to csl soon

Derek,
I had the red one corner weighted last week and it come in @1546
That was with rear seats, rear cage, 1/2 tank of fuel, me and all my race gear.

The CSL on the same scales was 1534 just over a month ago.
Again with rear seats, 1/2 tank and me with all the clobber.
