Help i need some info on Paris
I have a friend flying over from the US to pick up his new M4
but is worried about taking the car to Paris is the driving that bad as we see on TV ?
Also is there hotels in Paris with secure safe parking ?
Would the car be safe to leave out with Paris at a train station for a couple of days while he looks around Paris ?
Any help would be great he will be there around 21 July
Thanks Mark

Witnessed the craziest driving ever in Paris.
I certainly wouldn't go in a car again, never mind a spanker.

I have been to Paris twice with the car.
Not so bad as i read here (try Cairo guys).
I was parking mine in the Hotel's parking.

The ring road was bonkers. It's a free for all when I was there.

Agreed.
I would rank Saudi as number 2.
I was being overtaken from the sand :hahaha:

Any Middle East third world country is worse than Paris. I am sure parking at a hotel car park will be fine. I have driven into Paris once in the M5 out of season and got cut across at the traffic lights. I think she thought I would be slow off the lights in the 'old barge'. Anyway no damage but just try and keep your space. I parked in front of the hotel by the Louvre and the concierge kept and eye on her.
It aint the Bronx ;).

he'll be fine.
if he is seriously worried, avoid rush hours.
I wouldn't park my car in any train stations for long periods or on the street...someone is likely to test the bumpers...Park it up in the hotel car park and use the metro....if he wants to drive paris, get up early on sunday and have some fun, some great tunnels to be found.

Naples, Italy has to be the worst I've seen - even more so than Cairo! :bigcry:
You had to search hard to find a car that didn't have a ding or scratches all down its sides!

Mark your sounding like you'll never left Scotland :clown:
Been to Paris numerous times. Not as bad as you you think/ read. Rome is worse. The driving is a bit of a free for all but that's half the fun. Your friend may be the only car without any dents there but he'll be absolutely fine. ;)
Stayed here a couple of times in the company of various Sports/ Supercars so completely suitable:
Holiday Inn Express
Paris - Canal De La Villette
68 Quai De La Seine Paris
75019 France
Nice hotel set on the river side with secure underground parking with remote access.
