I've spent the last few years modding my 320i (so has the 6 cylinder engine for that authentic CSL sound) to look, sound and go like a CSL. I PM'd a member called Shimmy on the CSL forum and he gave me his chassis number to purchase all the parts. It cost me a fortune, but it is indistinguishable from the real thing .

Much interesting thread.

Having a CSL is wall to wall fun - and you get to drive it as well !
To quote Mr Clarkson:

Was wondering at first, as they have been a member on there for a good while, but definitely is a wind-up now. Is it someone on here, or a Cutter?
MikeR's 320i must be a beast btw! :hahaha:

Love it Nathan. Remember seeing a pic of yours on a driveway a few years ago - taken from the rear ?

Love that Nathan! :supz:
Had a bit of a fake (badged-up) M5 / real (de-badged) M5 encounter last year, that was very childish but quite enjoyable! It might be two decades old, but it'll still smoke an E60 diesel with a dodgy bodykit it seems :hahaha:

That is brilliant! I remember this car from years ago, on a track day at Bedford sometime in 2005 I think!
Has it changed hands much since then or was that you?

I asked the parts department at Elms for prices for some parts for my CSL...they said for the CSL specific parts, they'd need to see the V5:thumbs:

"Obviously they all go and do a sub 8 min lap of the ring before work and then throw their keys on the desk making sure the M badge is prominently viewed by the girl from accounts."
I pissed my self laughing!
