I suppose with a full warranty you should service in accordance with manufacturers recommendations.
But if you have no warranty and you are only doing a few thousand miles PA
would it be acceptable in terms of provenance to extend Inspection 1 and 2 services with more oil services?
I'm thinking of a oil service every annum regardless but wondered what your views would be on not following the rigid BMW service structure of:
Oil
Inspection 1
Oil
Inspection 2
Oil
Etc
The main rider would be to ensure that a future enthusiast would be happy with the service history and therefore not jeopardise future values.

Oil change every year. Assuming 2k/year you will wait a long time time before you need a service I or II. As a buyer that would put me off. A car with too low a millage would also also put me off. I believe rightly or wrongly a car needs to be frequently driven. It does not have to be far but warmed up properly & driven for at least 20 minutes.

Oil & filter change every year for me despite small annual mileage, and/or more frequent inspections even though the computer says no
Although I did an unusually high 3k miles last year :gayfight:
Edit: Actually, come to think of it, I didn't do most of those 3k miles. Note to self: Drive your Cesil more!
