Whatever colour the off-side door is, it's broke the new price barrier by some considerable amount.

The add is a little presumptuous and gives little or no details of the actual cars spec other than 6 former keepers, so it's been passed about a bit. New speedo fitted?

"All that glitters is not necessarily gold!" I'd expect to see gaps in the service history, with that many keepers in such a relatively short period of time. :smokin:

From the ride height it looks as though it is sporting aftermarket suspension as well and you can clearly see it has APs :).

Noted - It didn't come from the factory with the almost obligatory Radio/CD Player, it's not a delimited and it doesn't have a comfort screen, but you can't blame the chap for trying, as he's only the 7th keeper. :hahaha:

Indeed.

If it was a car with one owner that had been kept in some kind of showroom or specialist garage then a high figure seems in keeping.

But a car with aftermarket brakes, 7 owners and some average pics from the front of his house - nah no way.

In addition, my car has 57k miles on it. I've done very few miles in the last 2 years. My belief is that if a car isn't used at least semi-regularly then it just starts developing a load of other issues. There is such a thing as too little miles I think. Plus of course - 9k miles at warp speed from cold vs a car which spent most of its life cruising on A roads and motorways ?

Yes the plate is great, if you like that sort of thing but the asking price is too much. Should have saved the ad until April 1st ;-)

I'm surprise there's alot of discontent. :finga:

If he sells it for anything close to that price, you lads will be laughing al lthe way.

Yea, its got non OE AP's and the wheel color been done etc etc, oh and its got that frigging aftermarket radio (I hate that. Must admit I sinned there for awhile too ), but if someone is willing to make an offer to him, I'm sure he'll be smiling all the way to the bank. There's no such thing as reasonable price in the markets, only what someone is willing to pay. Will someone pay up? I really dunno, but I hope someone does becoz that will also mean our vehicles are worth much more than what we currently perceive.

Ha, ha, sparks are flying in all directions, he's made Hexagon look like Waitrose and NJ like Aldi and 'Johnboy's' back out of his box, thanks to Yanto's teaser.
Nice car - probably, nice plate - definitely, would I buy it - NO! 7 owners/keepers and 9,539mls just doesn't sit right!

Could be a rebuilt wreck, Cat D or C, that would keep the mileage down. The Plate would distract attention as was previously suggested on another thread.
I could be spouting complete nonsense but with no front plate carrier and different coloured body panels, I'm suspicious.

The last GTS I saw up for sale was a 1 owner car for £89K, potentially a far better investment if that's why you're buying.

If I was laying out that much for 9000 mile Csl, the wheels would need to be original colour, original brakes, original stereo, original suspension etc etc.

Some mad twatter will buy it though, and I reckon the person who does will be either

A) so anal he checks absolutely everything

Or

B) so blasé he won't even check any of it's credentials

The last CSL with similar mileage 9K, but with 2 former keepers, was for sale at Hexagon last year (2013) for £52K.
He's asking £27K more in 2014, that's quite some price increase even with the ultimate plate included! The only way is up - but perhaps not quite that much! :smokin:

honestly, that would set the minimal price for a CSL. Obviously the German market is much more dovish than the UK right now. No reason not to as its becoming a rich petrolheads collector item.

Also, someone should let the monkey revisit the CSL or tell him about the crazy prices on offer now so he can get the petrolhead punters to grab them while they can. (Do I smell market manipulation :finga: Hey Wall Street/the City manipulates all of the frigging markets, so why not us!!!!):gayfight:

I would have thought the CSL which should be the most valuable to a collector is a totally standard, no options car with no aircon or xenons, no stereo and no parking sensors as I believe that was how BMW really intended the car be built? Im told the Evo Sports which sell for the most money are the same 'no-options' cars. What do you think and does anyone know how much difference there is between the weight or a fully spec'd car and a standard ? I heard the aircon system weight over 35kg???

Hi, no xenons or front pdc. Bought the car to use so couldn't really be arsed with no stereo, like having the window down :) but on the motorway or in heavy traffic air-con is a bonus. Thought I heard someone say that the air-con only adds 20Kgs!? I only weigh 60-65 kilos, so as Blur once said 'You should cut down on your pork life'!
