Im thinking of getting sorted with a square set up to see how it feels, not for track use but fairly keen road use.

Im wanting 9x18's with 265/35x18's, I have standard height with no real view to lower the car, how will I fair with front arch clearance ?

Depends on offset.

I found 18x9 et25 perfect.

I'm running team dynamics pro race 1.2 18x9 et20 with 265 all round. I run a 12mm spacer in the rear. No problems at all.

Whilst 18x9 allows you some flexibility with offset, don't forget for looks you'd better get biggest offset to fill arches.

But on the road I would stick with OeM rims sizes tbh

I had arch touching tyre with et20 and 10mm rear spacer

That was 265 35 18 yoko a048, and only on track with v heavy cornering G. Both front and rear iirc

I then switched to et25 because of this

Square setup is not the best for road driving, I find it tram lines a little.

You will likely need 10mm rear spacer to even up the arch gaps.

I run a 12mm front and rear at the moment so ill see how I go when I get some wheels sorted, cheers

You wont need any spacers @ the front with 9J OEM 18's square set up but they (12 mm spacers) do help to tidy up & fill the rear arches well
Couple of pix below of mine with the square 9J OEM 18's with 12 mm spacers @ the back :smokin:

I was running 265/35/18 DUNLOP DZ02s all round :smokin: Great tyre BTW :supz: if a little expensive. I've now reverted back to OEM CSL 19's with full Phat CUPs :smt055 as I couldn't stomach the purchase prise of New set of DZ03s @ almost £1500 :(
