I can get a set of cups for only 1280 CHF or else 880 GBP.
Are they so cheap in the uk too ?
Last summer I paid 1600 CHF for a set.

i have never paid more than £900 a set (18 or 19) so yes it is possible. My guess is as the Cups will be run out of arock and discontinued in the next 12-18 months prices are adjusting. Cup2 (not Cup+) will be released in many more sizes later this year.

235/35/19 is already available and much cheaper than the original cup.
I am not sure what the performance is though compared to the original cup.

I just got a set from tyreleader in Germany for less than £800 25/11 dates.
I found a video on you tube but it compared them to the old cup+ so I reckon not much difference

i heard the same that the cup is no longer being made and replaced with the cup 2. Michelin have made this in line with the new 991 GT3 and GT2 models so the Cup 2 is already out there.
supposed to be a much better tyre than the cup in colder/damp conditions and has the wear properties of the super sport so sounds like an awesome tyre.
hence there is prob a lot of old Cup stock out there that needs shifting on.

No idea why you say that sounds like an awesome tyre.....it's non of the reasons why we buy it. It needs to be as fast if not faster and then these other properties improving are beneficial.
They have been trying to meet Euro rules on res and wear rate, noise, wet condition driving all were a factor but useless unless they are sticky as fook.

Sounds like I may be buying another set for the future if they really are phasing them out....
