Hello gents

I did a bit of work on the track car yesterday in prep for rockingham on the 15th march, changed the front discs but left the old pads on even thought they have some uneven ware on them, I also put new rear pads on.
When I took it out there is a lot of travel in the pedal.
On retrospect I need to change the front pads so have ordered some up but do you think this will sort the travel ??
Do I need to bleed the system even though I have not opened the fluid lines ?
On some forums people have mentioned that buy compressing the callipers
You can damage the master cylinder I hope this is not the case but the car has been sitting for about four months.

Thoughts ???

Sometimes the caliper seals can twist when they are pushed back, which causes them to spring back and move the pad away from the disc, hence the travel in pedal. Check this has not happened.

Also I would never put shit old pads onto new discs, ever. Just the way I was taught.

There was me thinking that you'd bought a bike, perhaps a J40 for Goodwood, imagine my disappointment. ;)
New Pads and if changing them, a good idea might be to change the fluid
