Hi

What seats do people change to on the CSL ones and what brakes.

Looking at a couple of CSL's at the moment and just trying to get an idea on the costs of these parts

Is there anything major to look out for on the CSL

Thanks

Faisal

why change seats? are you tracking it so you need more of a race seat?

brakes - go APs or the Alcon sets that Lawsy/shimmy are selling. pads have to be Pagids.

Thanks for the reply, not going to track the car just yet, just thinking of someting a bit more comfitable, but then again its a CSL and ment to be this way.

Either of the 2 options seem good for brakes,

Are they easy to get hold of?

I Found the CSL seats very comfortable........6 hours without a break, and in my RRS I had to get out every 2 hours. :banghead:

Thanks Shimmy,

Ill have to see how the are then decide if I need to change them.

Out of interest regarding brakes, what would you recommend.

If you on road stick to OeM brakes maybe with better pads and fluid but if you track it get APs front discs and callipers (or both) or alternatively Alcons as an option.

The cost will depend on where you are, try 'lawsy' he has a thread for Alcons: http://www.cslregister.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11607

Best of Luck

+100 % on a brake upgrade AP's/Alcons just to name 2 setups that are widely used

Pad/fluid/goodridge lines are more than enough for spirited road driving

As for seats and having gone this route I would stick to oem seats as they're the comfiest by a mile....however if you're trackdaying then there's numerous routes...I went recaro spa's with 6 point scroth harnesses which are superb....shimmy and a few other Trackday kings have gone for Recaro SPG which gives you a little more room!;)

Thanks for the info,

That makes more sense, maby the first thing to do will be hoses/pads and fluid then take it from there.

Might be of use if your considering pads. http://www.cslregister.com/forum/showthread.php?p=164427#post164427 give Martin a PM and he'll sort you out.
Brakelines: 'Hel' are are also worth considering, I have them on my daily and the CSL. :)
