Well guys, joined my first ship yesterday as Captain and sailed last night out into the Deep South Atlantic with full tanks of fuel, FW, Provisions and fresh crew.
All I can say is, "It feels GOOD!"
Down side, still have over 4 weeks to go. At least the weather might be better when I get home in march.

Congratulations - Well done you. It must be a bit intimidating, your first trip as skipper and a new crew to get to know, fortunately there will be plenty of time to do that before you reach port!

Cheers chaps, been looking for it for a while.
She's an Offshore Anchor Handler, no photos since joined yesterday morning direct from another ship and had absolutely no time to check her out from the launch. Working for Maersk Supply Service, come off the Maersk Advancer and now on the Maersk Rover. Older girl, but full of 'character' shall we call it.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Usually don't wait until start of May but fook it, if it's warm enough end March, I'm whipping it out, :GIGGEDY:

Cheers again lads and lassies,
Not much chance of a celebratory drink anytime soon unless it involves non-alcoholic beer,
But, come crew change date, I'll be taking a night out and enjoying the delights of Copacabana Beach.
