Had mine over 40 mpg when I brought it home from Bromsgrove!

(but only because I was too scared to press the throttle )

Aaaaaah, one of my favourite films - that and Slasher Bitches from Hell 2.

Was getting over 35 mpg when I collected the car from Londonshire, haven't been able to replicate that since. I blame short journeys and a gorgeous sounding engine:drool:

It's only a matter of time before G-dog swings by with the GTOTD :gayfight: award for this

p.s. 35 MPG has been my best over 40 ish miles before I got bored driving like a saint to achieve this sort of numbers ... dropped a few cogs, SPORT button On and straight down to mid/low 20's MPGs where it belongs :supz:

I've had over 40 on the M-Way at 65-70. It's incredible for that engine, the age, size and output. Avoids continual fill-ups all the time which you can't avoid in some cars and long road trips don't become wallet killers.
And then when you come off the motorway you drive it properly not feeling too guilty. Amazing engine.

How bigs the tank on a CSL?? I managed my house to Nurburgring last year on a tank (398 miles) 0 left on range when I got there

60 litres IIRC. I've not managed to do Cambridge to Adenau on one tank yet but then Cambridge is that little bit further away than Stevenage.
I'm sure that's the only reason why  :-D

I reckon the only way you managed to achieve that, was by lightening the CSL even more by emptying the windscreen washer bottle? The picture does not lie! :hahaha:

Maybe there is an issue with your car.
I definiely get 8.5 in the highway.
City / traffic 13.5 max.
I dont have 17 in the city in the m5 !
Is your foot very heavy Levente and do you want to show off all the time ? Admit it

On the Munich tour via Italian Alps Via 6 ring laps I averaged 29mpg over 2300 miles. I was pleasantly surprised with that :-D

Were you running On only 4 cylinders ? and doing 10 minute + Ring laps ? to achieve that ;)

Nope just outside the 8's and 155 limiter chasing a E63 AMG on the bahn !
And driving like miss diasy in places. I was quite suprised too. Before the ring it was on 31 mpg !!!

That's mathematically impossible :smt017 ... and there's something wrong with your Cecil's OBC mate ;)

That's more like it :supz: ... the equivalent of 23 MPG (UK) ... and near enough what I've been getting on my numerous Autobahn excursions :-D
Doing low 8 min. Ring laps will see low teens (MPG) :( I've experienced 11 mpg average a few times :bigcry: after a full day of lappage.

I'll check the OBC when it's running again. I don't think it's too far wrong though. Reset the counter at the start of the trip. It is mathematically possible. Off throttle the mpg can be very good. Perhaps your right foot is heavier than mine
