Stansted to LHR options

One for the locals,
I need to get from Stansted to LHR terminal 5.
I have had a look online but it seems to be a bit of a mare.

Any local knowledge of a nice simple way? (I won't have a car).

stanstead to London liv street I think.
tube from Liv st to Paddington
Paddington express to Heathrow (takes 15 mins!)
don't bother with the Piccadilly line as it takes about 1 hour 15 to get from town. its a joke!

As per Das Chin. Circle line (anti clockwise) Liverpool Street to Paddington. Although I would add that the Express service from Paddington to Heathrow is extortionate. The slow boat (Circle line to Kings Cross and then Piccadilly line to Heathrow is a lot cheaper if you have are not in a rush ~£3.60 ish).

Depends on money & time but I have done this route many times.

Stansted to Totenham Hale. Pick up Victoria line to Finsbury Park walk across platform then Picadilly line to Heathrow.

Half way between the two locations and gonna be cheaper than an airport taxi.

Would just be a local taxi id be getting anyway as driving down and dropping the car off.
Problem I have is no flights from Stansted to Aberdeen :banghead: so need to head to Heathrow.
