I'd say stay with Turner kits Adem, the shims look like they do a different jobby.
Equinox
22-12-2013, 06:30 PM
Personally, I think they do the exact same job, just limiting the travel of the trailing arm. The turner kit just fills the void so the arm can move up and down but not side to side which results in the rear wheel geometry changing, the Rogue engineering kit does exactly the same job and being a Rogue item it'll be top quality too

Looks like the turner ones are fixed into position but the re are floating. No idea whether that any difference.
Equinox
22-12-2013, 06:56 PM
As they are perfectly round and not tapered in thickness I cant see there being an issue, unless the bush failed then I guess it could cause premature wear on the Rogue items where as the turner is alloy so wouldnt wear at all.
adem.csl
22-12-2013, 07:39 PM
Ive got turner on my car and personally they are what i would choose.being alloy and being fixed in place makes them more durable and easier to fit by way of them being bolted to the bracket you don't need balancing act!!they both do the same job but are matter of choice and budget!!
Im trying to get turner kit as its less likely to wear then the plastic ones may
tommy
22-12-2013, 07:46 PM
I will go with turner for the group buy

Can you use these with PowerFlex bushes?
Equinox
22-12-2013, 10:14 PM
No, the powerflex bush is like a top hat design so it acts in a similar way, the turner kit will not fit with the Powerflex bushes / there is no need either.

You are indeed correct Sir

Im gonna use them with my floflex bushes just to tighten them up
Floflex aren't great quality bushes
For my vert not csl

So why aren't you guys using Powerflex Bushes instead of the limiter kits? I have used RTAB PF bushes and RE bushes from day one. Perfect, cheap and no need for a limiter kit band aid.
A Limiter kit is for people who want to stick to using OEM RTABs and wnat to reduce flex/play. You guys have CSL's, lets move up a step and upgrade to PF, RE or other PU RTAB's.

Ad put me down, think dirty perv john needs a set also. My powerflex bushes were all knackered after 2 years
Then You need to go for some AKG Bushings:
Bottom of this page are the 85A bushings
http://www.akgmotorsport.com/catalog/catalog.php?page=5&category=e46%20Suspension%2FBushings
if you continue on to page 6 you will see the 90A & 75D spec RTABs.
I will be getting the diff bushings kit from them when i get some free time, LOL

Ok just to clear things up these turner kits are mainly for use on oem bushes for those who want to retain road handling and comfort(the comfort it has)!!
You can use poly bushes.powerflex are good floflex are cheap so you can fit tms kit just to stiffen them
Or you could go straight to solid bushes that will feel harder on road but perfect on track but new solids don't knock or make excess noise as lawsy points out they only knock when they are worn as billy has mentioned
So its up to you what you want to use on your own car!!

True,
the TMS limiting kit IS better for use with OEM bushes and for those who want to maintain road comfort and add performance at the same time for the track by reducing flex.

Tommy i cant get single sets at the same price hence the group buy.
As an example the 14 kits worked out at £71 quid plus p&p minimum order of 5 he wants 75 plus so if he can wait till i get more orders that would be better for him as they come from US not UK stock. Sorry
