Put some on last week.....Something I never thought of doing with the CSL but now I have them on the M3 I can see what some of you did this....Only went 12mm as didn't want the max power look just enough to give it a bit more of an aggressive look.....

I've heard it before, but the difference an extra 12mm makes.

Good job  they fill the arches nicely, especially at the rear  BTW Laguna Seca blue on E46 M3 rocks :supz:

12mm spacers are perfect, you could get away with 15mm but it depends on what wheel and tyres your running and what height it is.

I can't ever remember ribbing you Andy... Lol!

In my case I knew the CSL was a keeper and 'unfortunately' the track day bug bit hard hence spending on upgrades.

Like Daz, I would buy select mods second time round having learned the hard way and wasted considerable money on mods which I then changed or removed completely.

:-D

If I bought another Csl it would be road use only.

Uprated pads, hoses and fluid
Set of spacers
Enjoy

Mod a standard m3 for track work.

Andy.

It might just be the pics, but your car looks lower on drivers side.?

Get the tape measure out and check. What suspension are you running?

Different type of spacers

I would not use the type that bolt to the hub first.

Yep, ridiculous to use bolt-ons on any quick car, let alone one thats the best part of 2 tonnes and heading for the track. That said, can it EVER be a good idea to bolt direct to an ali spacer thats just a few mm thick???? Beyond belief that they appeared on the GT-R, the OP had a lucky escape there!

There are people out there that are of the opinion, if its sold its got to be safe:119:

Bloody hell......They are not the same as the ones most of use I take it .....

I am a member on there .... but for one reason as I had to sort out a pistols at dawn issue between Sports Maserati and the GTR forum after a charity track day at Brunty that I organised.......I'm a moderator on Sports Maserati and one of our chaps had a pop at a GTR chap as he said he had cut him up......and as it was an ASDA event and I work for ASDA as well I had to get them all to kiss and make uP...

So after two years of ownership and spending a bit of dosh bringing her up to standard I have sold the M3...Must be mad.....but she had 113k on the clock and because of the colcour I could still get good money for her where as if I put many more miles on her the price would have dropped...She was still very saleable. In fact under 24 hours on M3cutters so was sold for full asking price with 5 people interested including the famed Chris Harris from EVO/Pistonheads.

So no longer have an M again and must be getting old as was looking for comfort but wanted a V8 GT......So have a 2004 BMW 645.....So much car for the money. Sure I will be back in an M at some stage.....(M6 next I think)...
