Car has cups on it at the moment, had them on it when I bought it. Was going to be changing them shortly for conventional road tyres, at the risk of sounding like a dafty what size is it best to go for 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 or are these more for cup tyres?

Would also appreciate any thoughts on tyre choice, was thinking Goodyear Eagle F1's or Contisport 5's. Got conti 3's on my M roadster which I quite like.

Thanks for any advice

Those are the right sizes. Michelin Pilot SuperSport are the next best thing to cups in many people's opinion...

yes, MPSS. My GT-R wears them and its pushing around 600. Great tire. Most of the GT-R guys choice for road/track. Even Litchfield's recent GT-R in //Drive (Harris) with 750bhp was wearing these babies. No doubt they can handle some serious power. Not on my CSL yet as I've still got fresh AD08's which I'm not very impressed with. Think I will need to ditch these things asap.

Thanks for the advice guys. The front tyres are showing some wear on the inner edges. It was in at BMW and had a new track rod end and therefore a KDS wheel alignment, which I would have wanted done anyway before fitting new boots.

However they couldn't adjust the castor to within the desired tolerances, after waiting four weeks for the KDS printout the dealer brought this to my attention, citing possible bent wishbones. The car is sitting on just under 57k miles and had the right wishbone replaced at 38k.

Any thoughts on this? I wouldn't want to violate my new tyres!:banghead:

the MPSS is a great tyre. the yoki AD08 is a superb all round tyre and ran them before on a track e36.

great all round grip in the dry and even good in the wet. an awesome tyre for the money.

Castor won't scrub your Tyres, as long as the camber and toe is correct.

Sounds more like the dealer had a monkey operating the alignment system.

Sounds about right, mine went to the dealers for shocks under warranty and geo set perfectly, came out with new shocks, the steering wheel far from strait and me re-doing the geometry again correctly. Its not the kit its the clown thats using it.
