Welcome to the register
Very expensive down there, would be worth looking at the others around as the extra £ doesn't seem to be for anything other than bottom line at Hexagon
You trading / moving the Black on for the CSL or addition ?
Pics of 63 Black please :-D

just need to snap one up before somebody else beats you to it.! where as if you pay the premium at hexagon, you can take 6 months to decide whether you are going to buy it or not, cos at that price nobody else will want it.
I was umming and arring about a couple on pistonheads, and before you know it theyve gone

I think they are very well priced at Hexagon. However I sure for £1-2k less a member here might sell you a better one

You are not trying to buy them so you may just be wrong!
They are still cheap compared to Euro CSLs

For the UK they are very expensive and compared to M3 Coupe and M3 CS prices vastly overpriced IMO
Top of CSL market ceiling in Dec 2012 was £38k would get u a really really nice one.
Now is £60k ????
Also Euro CSLs LHD are more plentiful and presumably higher demand as all of Europe is LHD
RHD is specialised market
Europeans don't want RHD examples

As long as M3 CS prices keep going up they Hexagon have a 31k mileage with the arguably less desireable SMGII gearbox for £28k :-)

Not so - quite a few of the CSLs sold recently by UK Dealers are finding their way to wider European Community.
Ex GB cars can now be found all over the place, quite possibly because they are half the price and better looked after than their Euro counterparts.

Suggests 245 are currently Licensed with 40 sworn, that's only 285! where are the rest gone? c. 130 cars written off? I doubt it, perhaps 50 at most, the remainder are off the UK grid. :smokin:

My old car CL04CSL made a ridiculous price at hexagon & i think theyre just giving people false hopes.
I know CL04CSL was sold by them, i phoned out of curiosity & was assured the car had...
2 Never been painted
3 Never been errrrr bumped ...... though not catagorised with DVLA....
4 Was totaly original...... WRONG on that score me thinks, won't go into details on that score but lets say some parts aren't as it was supplied.
Hexagon were wrong on all counts.

I got a mate that used to work there and now works at another famous BMW outfit. Anyway a CSL he saw earlier this year he said wasn't in great condition for the price. This is the one everyone was PMing me about. The 9000 mile one well lets just say he saw the merits of SMGII after doing an Inspection II Service.

Lies at a place that sells cars.......ill never hear it said
TO be honest a dealers cant be expected to know every detail about every car and if i was selling a car to them i certainly wouldnt be telling them all i knew if it were to affect the value.
As for prices...it can never be a bad thing look at a nice late e30 sport evo...never worth it but always worth what someone is prepared to pay if thats a lot then thats it, supply and demand and all that

That is scary, only a few months ago there was 300, so that means 15 have left the UK in that time :smt107
At DN9 there was a wrapped UK CSL (RHD) that was Swiss registered, so they're going all over :(.

If I remember the car correctly it was a rather basic spec with CD, Radio and Air-Con? from Tommy R's add, that's why I didn't pursue a purchase, albeit local.
Tommy advertised with it reading 19,500K for £34K at one point, next thing the gons (I doubt they gave that for it) had it up for £40K, that was £30+ per mile as it traveled South and it Sold. :supz:

Don't you already have one Neil, or are you buying for investment now as well ? :notworthy:

Previous comment was with regard to 'steelyork's' post re 'CL04 CSL' which 'Tommy R' (in Knutsford) was selling some 18 moths ago, when I was in the market for one.
A 2nd would be out of the question, otherwise I'd end up living in the garage! ;)

With all the information and data you have on these cars if not in the garage, must be on the internet or whatever to find stuff :-D

lovely piece of kit. Will put one in my garage as a collector thing when the silly prices they are asking for in HK. $2M HKD used (150K GBP). becomes more reasonable :banghead:
The only Merc that gives me a hard on. Wicked car! Congratulations!

Hi, I am just curious. When you say that the UK cars are better looked after than euro LHD cars, have you particular experience with this? Are they not as fussy about service histories on mainland europe?

I don't know if they are not as good but they don't get the warranty we get here in the UK
