dont think they have paid there bill lol

They bought their own Compaq file server and pay a lot of money every month to have it installed in a secure data-center. I wouldn't blame them if they just said f**k it and didn't bother any more. Then a lot of the other sites wouldn't have mtorque to steal their info from....

Everyone moans about it but it has been providing top quality M3 info for EIGHT YEARS, and CSL info since it's launch.

I think people misunderstand why Mtorque has its stringent rules. It has a very large member base and has a huge wealth of info that stretches back 8 years. Mtorque is known as the source for all possible info for M cars, better than PH and most other forums. While it is frustrating for members who generally are good with forums it makes sure that members who join just to get 1 question answered or 1 item sold and then disappear into the sunset don't just use and abuse the site. Somewhere like CSL register is much easier to manage as it's a lot more specific with a lot less members where people may have also met.

Mtorque wouldn't seem so bad to people if most people realised that it just takes a little bit more time to follow forum etiquette due to the fact it has such a large member base.

Its a bit like a night club vs your local pub - good for getting what you want ( ), but not so good for the banter

I've had an RS4 longer that all of you and don't mess with me because I have 4WD! Never liked the ELS anyway even if it does have "a bigger choice yes!"

MTorque is fine and has been THE UK based source (so the only proper source!) for M stuff. It gets some bad press because people who more often than not have been toolish sometimes get slapped (no implication) or a little precious about stuff like having their Avatar changed. I would say probably every member hear is one there and there are many there that arn't here so I suggest its just a good as a source for CSL related banter and general "its not an M3 its a CSL and special" debates.

Room for all forums.

I sense you missed my sense of humour, you wouldn't be the first or the last I suspect. I actually think the CSL is a fantastic car and I made the mistake replacing my GT3 with an RS4 and not a CSL. I also think people get a little touchy about stuff, hence my post and I feel your response indicates it well. Chill man, I am arguably the most objective poster you'll come across as I don't feel the need to justify my buying decisions to anyone, unlike many, and will happily take the piss take when I take a bath with my car buying decisons, ask Nords, Shimmy and Spiney, they never let me forget it!

Shimmy, Nords, Woppum, Spine'y and many others on here have met me and know I take this piss, all the time, at every opportunity my usual starting point being myself!
