Car cleaning sprays

Can anyone recommend a spray that all these detailing/supermarket chaps spray on before they use the pressure jet. Does it still work if a pressure jet is not available?

I have an attachment for the Karcher, works really well as a first wash, jet wash off then wash normally.

Not this one, but very similar.

I use a snow foam lance from Monza car care plus Valet-Pro PH neutral foam as a pre-wash. Seems to work quite well, I don't know if its any better or worse than the Citrus Pre Wash Neil mentioned - but it's good fun!

They have one called a Gilmour lance if you have no jet wash, looks a bit pricey though.
