I thought a driving licence was all that was required to purchase a car, or have BMW up'ed the requirement BA or BSc for one competition package fitted? :-D

Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm in the process of selling my SB CSL as well. The only reason for the sale is that I am finding it more or less unused as I live in central London and am going to stick with the Renaultsport Clio 182 my girlfriend and I share until I live nearer better roads. That said, I had a number of great drives over the past year or so.

Anyway, just wanted to say that I have found this forum really useful so thanks for all your expertise. Hopefully I will find my way into another CSL when the time is right, though there's a couple of other cars I want to try too.

Lot of black cars going...

Assume from unname this isn't you, but seems well priced http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/bmw/e46-m3-00-06/bmw-3-series-e46-m3-csl------------------2004/1891694

I have to agree with Mark, Neil. I spoke to Mark a lot about his particular car and agreed first refusal - Mark's a well known owner, very transparent - answered all questions, he started this register I believe, the car is also very well known on this forum - i had pms vouching for its authenticity.

The reason I didn't buy it was a timing issue with the money, I was coming up short. Rob's came along which was a few k cheaper so that's what I bought, on same day I told Mark about Robs car, by co-incidence Mark had relisted it on PH with a new price out of my range. It's a great CSL IMHO, and well worth a trip North to investigate.

Plus a viewing would have tied in nicely with a trip to see the pandas at Edinburgh Zoo.

Good cars are becoming rarer, I think it worth traveling for the right car, I done a round trip of 800 miles for mine. Who ever bought Marks car has a good one and the trip would be worth it!!

Agreed 100%!! I would happily have gone that far to find a car if needs be, as it turned out I was incredibly lucky to find the perfect car on my doorstep...and on my birthday no less...meant to be?!?

Thats just why i dont use car sourcing/delivery companies, and in any case at that price you better change your name to Pentagon. Another £10k and people are going to think you're fn hexagon :-D. And since when do i have to pay for christmas presents. Whats the world coming to man. :(
