Yer I was there Silverstone think that was more Silverstone than nick to be fair didn't think it was that bad myself but I do love wet track days

Just rent a helmet and you can see if you want to buy one, unless they give you an old stinker, nasty.
I wouldn't bother with gloves just now and see how you go. You'll probably need them more for the outside of the car.
