Thanks guys.

A very good day even if quite a lot of cars and red flags.

Was warm enough to run slicks but had the ADO8's yesterday.

Yes, may be a bit too planted on the front. Causes me few wheel locks on braking if bumpy. Need to soften i think, or may be brake properly :-D

Absolutley stunning car, I drewled over this for months in the Pistonheads Classifieds, nice to see it being used in anger!

Thanks :)

Serviced once by Buttler Motorsport when I bought it and since then this year 2 Donnys , 3 Oultons , 2 Spa, 1 Anglesey , and one more Oulton in December

It has been an arrive and drive. Just tyre change from Slicks to Yokos when needed.
She had half worn Mintex pads on AP's when got her and still on same pads all around.

Same brake pads :supz:

The Mintex are fantastic. Only two mls left now :(

Got a set of almost new Pagid RS-29 in garage. Might use them for next track day as front disks may need changing soon. A bit harder those pads i think.

If don't like them back to Mintex and new AP disks in the front :supz:

Or fit ABS ;)

Apparently they work very well on those cars. Expensive ? Will a loose 1/2 second per lap due to weight gain :)

Thanks,

Eduardo.

3 ways, can either fit a csl unit (or m3 if you cannot find csl) with a standalone loom (Terry was enquiring about a couple today weirdly), fit bmw motorsport system or best IMO is the Bosch M4 system.

A standard M3 system is actually pretty good for the costs involved, it does cut in but not as much as you'd think and means you can turn in on the brakes.

This one runs it, Ant stuck it on pole for Britcar 1000k so it can't be that bad.

Thanks.

What would be the cost of a standard M3 system? I presume can be second hand ?

Thanks

Yeah, we supply a loom built to match your car (in fact the same guy is building them for me as did your car in the first place) then you supply your own pump, yaw sensor and wheel speed sensors. Do you have wheel speeds going in to the ECU/Dash at the moment?

I didnt make it to Oulton to see you this time sorry, was working. When in December are you there ? Has Stuart (?) got out in the DC5 much or not ?

Tidy pic's Ed! How do you find the AD08's on track?

Car does look very nice indeed :-)

I nearly popped down to see the white focus but couldn't make it

Or fit ABS ;)

Or just soften the suspension a touch- Oulton is very bumpy approaching a couple of corners- jumping on the brakes isn't always the quickest way to stop there....

Thanks for info. Will have to ask Terry for the technical infos.

The 7th. Stewart will be with the Zed the morning. Picking up a friend from Airport after the am briefing then back for pm session :)

The DC5 for the boys has been a disaster. Full engine rebuild and more and more. Not been on track for 3 to 4 month. Should be there on the 7 Th.

Yes you are right. Very stiff on front and probably a bit more braking on the back too.
