Hello All,

So…finally got my new 33k miles, SB CSL last week after the long wait. Collected it in the Wild-West of Ireland and did the maiden voyage of 800 miles towards London. A good first trip…drove straight through the dead of the night (on Irish plates :-D), radio off and stupid grin on my face the whole way! I am very happy with it. I have it in at Elms at the minute where Gareth is tearing it apart and checking it over for me, although I’m not too worried. I know the guy I bought off and he is as anal with his cars as I am with my mine.

Here are just a couple of photos I took before I set off. I’ll post some more when Gareth is finished and after I get a few more bits done to have it exactly as I want it. First, I need to get it imported. Then looking at a re-spray on the bonnet as it is peppered with stone chips (goddam Irish roads!). And then I’ll be getting a full correction done as the paint looks a bit dull. Anyways, here it is…

Paddy

Congratulations!

It's nice to see a car come back this way from Ireland for a change as opposed to the UK cars all going that way!

Cheers mate.

Yeah, I'm lead to believe that there is about 10 - 15 there now, maybe more. Originally there were only two CSLs registered from new in Ireland, and that this is one of them (or so I'm told). Need to do a bit more digging. Maybe someone on here knows more?

I bought it off a man just outside Ballina...myself, I'm from Carrick-on-Shannon, so not too far away. Was able to swing by on the way back to London and give the brother a taste of the CSL :119:. Where you based Chris?

Yep, this is it. Well spotted!

The bloke that bought this new, also picked up an X5, a 5 and a 7. All brand new, all black! Celtic tiger or what!

My mate then bought it for €85k in '06 off Conlans again with only 5k miles and had up until now.

Well done Paddy, she looks a beaut. I'd only ever heard of one original Irish car before (an SG)

Anyway, give us a shout next time you're travelling back through these parts

Very nice Paddy, was it worth the wait? The smile says it all and it doesn't fade with time, unlike paint!
(Very late model from Dec 03 batch, only 3 came after it: 1 SB and 2 SG's).
