Another tragic loss. ONeill and I were just chatting at Spa about Sean and how good he was particularly in the wet, remembering his race in Silverstone he was epic. he'd really got serious at racing the last 3 years it seemed.

RIP.

See Sean at his best here! Stunning control, no visibility or grip. His first wet laps at the Ring and his first race at the Ring.

If you have 5 minutes watch this.

Very sad news, RIP.

He was at Spa on Wednesday, wish I'd spoke to him but I wasn't sure it was him.

Can't believe this either after yesterday and saying goodbye to Angus

Met Sean a few years ago 2009, he spent a few days with me a month over the season giving me race tuition as I was about to begin the CSL Cup, just got race licence and never raced on slicks or competed before.

Lovely lovely guy, down to earth and talented beyond his years, he jumped straight into my CSL and drove it like Id never seen anyone had before, made my attempt look like I was going in reverse.

Humble and super talented, stayed in semi contact mainly as he wanted some Apple bits and bobs and exchanged for tuition lol but was hoping to see him take the supercup championship this year, which he was leading going into the last round next month.

Life is so cruel and so short, and just want to say RIP Sean and thoughts go out to his family.

Enjoy that race track in the sky with Angus

Really sad. R.I.P Sean.. There is note to Porsche Motorsport fan: This uplifting petition is building momentum in the wake of Sean Edwards' death. Please consider taking a few moments to join in bringing the 2013 Porsche Supercup season to a proper close: http://www.change.org/petitions/porsche-motorsport-make-the-final-race-of-the-2013-supercup-season-a-non-points-race

Tbh I know a lot of guys who have signed it, but not me.

I think it needs to be left up to the drivers to decide what to do. Only two drivers can beat Sean and I don't think Porsche can do anything as there are sponsors, rules, teams to consider.

If the two divers decide to pull over on the last lap of both remaining races then fair play them but can't blame them for driving to win as well.

Very good observation, and i agree that this needs to left to the drivers but i don't think that the sponsors are the ones who decide on who will finish first or not. I mean, there are requirements from the groups they sponsoring but that's it. Sponsorship and race is two different things.

Maybe but I think based on what I've seen, sponsorship terms can be awfully strict in terms of "maximising team finish positions" and making podiums for bonus ££,

All I'm saying is it is not always the teams choice, but can depend on many things, but if the driver pulls over without instruction, there will be no consequences other than Sean's posthumous win.

The FIA......to consider... and yes I agree totally with you, there will be little anyone can do about it other than the 2 drivers.
