Is anyone else attending the BMW Car Club track day at Donington on Monday 30th September.

I believe there are still places available if anyone is interested!! And no I am not involved with the BMW Car Club before I get rinsed!!

Nothing wrong with being a member of the 'Car Club' sydown some of my best friends are?
It's one way of getting some discount out of the Dealers, so not that painful!

Is it really that bad or are you just going off last year at Silverstone? Well booked and paid mow so will just have to see how it goes!

A long as you don't mind wasting a quarter of the whole day while they do sighting laps :banghead: , it's fine

And don't forget the raffle tickets.

Just differently run, that's all

I'm glad to report you were wrong, it was a well organised day, a 15 minute briefing and 3 sighting laps is hardly excessive, if you can't deal with that then track days probably aren't for you. Instructors were included FOC and the guys from michelin were on hand to give advice. I spent all day overtaking (and being overtaken) and I didn't hear anyone moaning about it!! 98db was a potential issue but as it's drive by the race cars only managed 95db!!

Just going on the Silverstone experience where the briefing was much longer and they spent getting on for an hour on sighting laps... The instructors being free was certainly a decent benefit though.
