Torque for pulling the kids sleigh? :gayfight:
My old man fancies one, but its gotta have the noise of the V8 petrol.

gotta be honest and the only reason to by a petrol s/c RRs is because you cant afford a TDV8 and need an older cheaper car. It is the best version by far. Better economy, better residuals, better torque and just as qucik over 30 mph. Great remaps!
s/c are not selling at all now new and second hand ones are going for under £25k

Really?
I suppose it depends what you want and do with the car. For him, he'd be doing a few thousand miles a year, so its a no brainer really - Petrol. V8s/c gives you that amazing noise and they go like stink (for what they are). Residuals dont even come into it, thats not a reason for buying a car IMO.
I drove a TDV8 on sunday, and the way it feels is OK, but the noise and dullness (lack of revs, and oomph) is crap. A car has to make me smile. Its good for a diesel, but thats it.

you cant beat the creamy smoothness of a petrol and it just feel's right diesel one'd are like driving disco's yak!
you don't buy a rangie if you care about economy or how much it will lose
my opinion of course

No more getting stuck in floods or snow now lol, Bought a Freelander 2.0 diesel the other day for a grand, was for sale in a local village, All checks out, all known problems replaced and the owner designs production lines for land rovers so seemed to know his stuff. Good little car too, will come in useful as a second car, thin il have to start using the CSL less in the weather we've ben having, rain, ice and snow.
