I have a GoPro version 1, but I want to get a second camera to have other angles of the car.

The GoPro 3 seems to be quite improved, especially for dark conditions.

Is the black edition with the remote controller etc worth the money ?
I see the simple GoPro 3 has smartphone application support.
Do you have the same functionality ?

Also, any other cameras out there that are equal to or better than the GoPro ?

I'm looking at the Aim smart cam, a bit more money but gives you more information. Go pros are good but they only give you video.

Please can you pm me the prices for both :)

I am going to Demon Tweeks to have a look at them, having not seen one in the flesh. I was hoping they would have the new one with bullet camera, although I think a normal one will be fine, it would be worth seeing.

I bought an aim GPS lap timer which is spot on but the software is way too in depth... I need to get my head round it :119:

Ps, you got aim solo or solo dl? Only dl can connect to camera.

The solo Nathan, I got told they all connected :bigcry:
I thought the Dl connected to cars with an ecu , I've no ecu so went for the solo :(

Nathan is not the case that you can combine the video and gps data later on ?

There is plenty of software that does that ?

Nathan, do you by any chance sell GoPros ?

Used to sell a few but don't bother now.

I can never be bothered with manually lining up data and video and then processing it all, life is too short! My real interest is having video and data side by side in the data analysis environment to help work out how to go faster, not fussed about all this HD stuff, higher res doesn't make you quicker and eats disk space.

What would you go for Nathan, I know you normally get what you pay for but there must be something for club racers on a budget. Must be able to overlay a good lap with a bad lap to see where it went wrong....
Aim marketing says it does overlay, track layout with braking points etc but I've yet to find it on the lap timing I've done. I may hang on till autosport to see some demos :)

You could get one with a very small memory as you only seem to last 3-4 laps :)

Possibly also one with a zoom so you can focus on the cars ahead :-D

And maybe one that's shock proof :(

I could go on all day :)

You crack me up Shimmy :smt055

Update- Unscathed last weekend (apart from your text which threw my focus) and got a pole, shame it was on top 8 reverse grid
I didn't finish there after going on a detour, fluid on track and no flags :119: but still got 5th best lap time. It's all about finishing now, there was a lot of carnage in the 1st race and more offs in the 2nd so all in all happy with the way things went.

None of that "it's all about finishing" SHITE, it's about winning, now go faster.

I'll have to buy a shed then and put an engine in it because I won't be doing the touring car whacks in mine to stay at the front. Something happens in every race and not be in the body shop trade I would rather stay out of it than pay the ££££ after every meeting.
