This is my second CSL and drives nice and tight and performs just as a CSL should, tape over the mileage and you would be hard pressed to guess she was over 100k.
It was Nathan's car and what a true gent he was to deal with as he has had some mares of people ringing up after a rather silly thread on PH!!
its really for high days and holidays as a 3rd car so the mileage should even out over the years. I done about 700 miles in the e30 last year at best. much older and more fragile than a CSL. will be SORN over winter I think.
Spec:
Car registered 18.09.2003

The APs are just bonkers. need a public health warning on the back!!
few bits on order such as new side grill badge and px side CSL sill plate.
rear seat console and SMG tower need a refurb.
might chop in 100 cell cats n rear box for standard.
the motor for the Carbon box flapped has packed up but Nathan got a new one before I bought it and that's in the deal. its jammed wide open at minute...oh what a hardship that is ;-)

feels very good matt and hard to explain really to people.
its the noise from the airbox that always starts the grin from the induction at low speed, then its just gets wider and wider as you press on
I love the balance and grip of the CSL and the general environment of it too.

Dont get the stigma of a BMW over 100k They are desighned for a lot more than that !!!! I had an M3 E36 track car with 160k and it just kept going....
Have fun and enjoy.

My bad... Its was my Thread, though it genuinely wasn't meant to be silly, or cause anyone any issues!! I guess the issue with the internet is once you post on the internet you never know where the tread goes.
I think in the end though, as with my tread on here it has shown that you can not get a cheap CSL which is great for the owners.
Again, sorry if it encouraged some none genuine callers!

so I had heard a lot about this detailing malarky and the clay. I bought a bar of that Bilt Hamber stuff in regular and some new polishing cloths.
car was clean, had a quick wipe out then got the plant sprayer out to wet the area and clay.
OMG what a difference it makes. I started on the bonnet of Cesil and it felt like sandpaper so I was like WTF is this. I thought my car was clean!!
you don't need to press hard and just the weight of yr hand, with a forward/backward motion. Within a few strokes you can feel the area getting smoother and all the grit / dirt particles coming off.
I had to dry off, then wet area next to it with a bit of overlap. Once i had done the bonnet it felt so smooth! I ran finger over area and onto the wings. They felt like a bit of sandpaper!!
put some decent autoglym polish on the bonnet and wow it just looks n feels awesome.
I have still got to do rear wings n bumpers.
the amount of crap that came off the roof was unreal. It was really rough and it took two lots of going over to get super smooth.
this bilt hamber clay is unreal and really worth spending time n money on. Sorry if you know this already but I cant believe I had not used before.
makes sure you use loads of water and lots of patience too. If u drop the clay then bin it straight away too.

finally got the trim bits that have been carbon hydro dipped by a friend back on the car to replace the OEM trim and well happy. pretty good match to OEM as well.
the rear view mirror had leaked so that trashed the window switch and SMG trim. door handles were scratched up as were the dash trims. rear console was cracked and scratched too so at £550 for a replacement from BMW I was looking at other options.
have kept the original 'titan silver' trim as not everyone's cup of tea in carbon effect.

it looks less obvious in natural light. Those pics had a flash and it really does pick out the colour diff.
each to their own lawsy but looks a lot better than the old knackered titan silver trim.
Naff was a bit harsh, I just meant the colour difference, if it all matched it would be superb

Prob more so the cold weather. down at -*c then quickly superheated when you drive with hot air blowing in car. ??

Apparently you can drain the fluid out in a controlled manner, reseal and replace the mirror. How true that is, I don't know but it leaves you with a mirror that doesn't dim automatically.
Regarding the rear view mirror have a look at this thread on ******* ;)

I always think that the handbrake boot looks completely out of character being the only leather piece of trim on the car, perhaps on a par with the painted rear console, (just little things that niggle)
If I were to replace mine I think I'd opt for Alcantara. I'm sure Jack at Royal could soon sort one out.
