Nordschleife 4/5/6/7th Oct - anyone?

The Nordschleife appears to be open all day for these four days, Friday to Monday inclusive.

Is anyone going across? I am travelling across on Thursday and back on Tuesday (P&O).

I will only do the closed track days now, as it's just started to get a bit gun-ho on TF days over the last few years. The track seems to spend more time shut than open and I don't like mixing with the bikes, as I'd hate to be responsible for one falling off and dying :(.

Unfortunately someone I knew really well lost his life due to a hose on a Porsche splitting and dumping coolant on the track :(. It's scary how something so relatively minor can then lead to such a devastating loss, so I'd hate to have that on my conscience :(.

A friend of mine and his wife lost there life the other week to someone undertaking a lorry, at least in a car you have something around you :(

Perhaps see you there then Graham. I am at Ferienpark on the 4/5th and 6th and then Lindner Congress on the 7th. I think we have a spare bed at Ferienpark 4/5/6th Oct although it will probably be the sofa for 4/5th and then a proper bed on the 6th as the other couple are off on Sunday afternoon.

Well as I say if anyone is looking for a cheap bunk let me know. There are four of us at Lindner Ferienpark (two couples) and it sleeps five. The other couple are off on Sunday afternoon so their bedroom will be available.

No social handgrenades, man trains or gypsies :-D!!!

Right no room available now as my comrade made the mistake of booking me in whilst his wife also booked a couple in. In addition I had already booked either side of it Thurs and Monday :banghead: so had to fill in the gap. Most places are booked up on the Friday so finally splashed out on the Lindner Congress. A few less laps then due to budgetry restrictions!!

Anyway I will keep an eye out for a nother CSL and a 996 GT3 (??).

It looks much better in its original (?) white than it did with the matt balck wrap. :thumbs:. I wonder how busy it is going to be. I do not think that I have ever been over so late in the year. Tell a lie, just looked in my diary, I went over last year ~27th to 30th October and seem to remember it being very wet for the most part but the Monday afternoon session was glorious.

Ill be there (spa) in my CSL with another mate with a CSL,in with a group of gtr's and maybe my 1M for a track day at Spa on the 10th
Ill be at the ring for a few hours on the 9th as I think its open for a few hrs.

Im currently stuck out in Africa at work but considering coming home for this. Havent confirmed dates or anything else yet and not sure if ill be in CSL or GT3 RS.

CSL has been there a lot so would like to take the Pork but the rear tyres are currently down to canvas and not sure ill have time change.

I am sure it will come eventually. Please pop over to say hello. My wife is a little selfish with me but it is always nice to have a chat and as we have been 'thrown out' of Ferien Park we may miss each other.

The Imola Red M3s look lovely anyway. I nearly got a M3 in the launch colour ... the yellow/gold colour whose name escapes me. My other choice was the Laguna Seca Blue.
