Morning all,

At the weekend, had a long drive down to Silverstone for a youdrive at the Porsche experience centre (excellent by the way, defo reccommend).

When i exited the motor way my tyre pressure sensor went off.

Checked all round, tyres all fine.

The bleedin thing keeps going off all the time now. Tyres are all perfectly inflated.

Nothing worse than having a red light on the dash all the time. :banghead: Advice please?

cheers

Ben

It might actually be the steering angle sensor instead - it triggers this light (along with the cog beside it)? I had the same thing in Germany, caused by allowing the battery voltage to drop by using a compressor without the engine running. Needed to be reset (by one of Paul's friends who had all the BMW software on a laptop - thankfully for me :) ).

Mine has been on and off for the last year, I just ignore it as all tyres are okay, as there is three different types of sensor.

Press the button hold down it will light up red keep hold and it will go orange.now drive while its orange and it will recalibrate and stay off.
All this can be done with engine running!!

Craig you may need your module changing if it doesn't clear after that reset cos it always works for me!

Is it possible you may have a very slow puncture ?
IIRC mine went off 3 times in the 4 years I've owned the car, on 2 occasions it did highlighted a slow puncture. The 3rd time it was the CUPs heating up too quickly and unevenly @ the Ring which triggered the sensors in the middle of a hot lap :banghead: I pulled off @ Breidscheid to check, cancel the warning and all was well  so I carried on and the warning light stayed off :smokin:
