Hi I am a new member having purchased my CSL only 3 weeks ago. It has done 32000kms and is totally stock and pristine.
Here are some shots taken on its first proper drive and what an exhilarating drive it was. Has there been a better car ever made?

Thanks Jim. You are correct, it was a little treacherous and therefore slow going but the snow was present for only a small portion of the journey thank goodness. The rest was empty mountain roads which was a great way to get a taste of what a magnificent machine this is:notworthy:
Cheers

I bet its the only time an Australian CSL has seen snow anyway!
How far from Melbourne do you need to drive to get away from the long arm of the law, and find some decent driving roads? My sis lives in the adelaide hills - lots of overly efficient coppers for my liking down there:bigcry:

about an hour's drive from Melbourne. Victoria is known as the "nanny" state because of all the revenue raising from speed cameras and the focus on speed as being the only real cause of accidents. In the area I was driving, I hear that police wear camouflaged gear and hide in the bushes and then radio to a colleague down the road to pull you over if you have been speeding. Total cat and mouse stuff which adds to the exhilaration.
But also speed limits in Victoria are ridiculous in places. You can have a 100km/h zone which would amount to suicide if you stuck to that limit and on the other hand a 60km/h zone with 5 lanes and straight as an arrow. So if you can find roads of the former description you can have a lot of fun without risk of getting caught speeding

Ha, ha, keeps the accident statistics up and justifies the use of the commando style Policing tactics in their never ending search for revenue! :smokin:
PS: Looks more like Austria than Australia in the Pics, never thought of you getting snow down under!

Congrats on your CSL mate - it's looking great!
Unfortunately VIC aren't the only revenue raisers, WA has followed suit and they're very crafty.

Thanks Brandtner. The focus on speed rather than driver training is moronic

Matt,
You might not have seen this, but you were spotted in December last year.

Thanks I hadn't seen - that was a great day. Drive with a few others along Victoria's Great Ocean Road. That picture was taken about 6am
