vbox issue

recorded some vbox files yesterday some of the video files will not play. After checking the properties of the file there is no audio or video details against the file however there is file details and file looks the correct size. The files are mixed in between files that work and no changes were made to the vbox. Never had this issue before , anyone else had this issue and managed to fix the file.

do the data files open ok?

Only time I've seen any issues like that is when the card has gone funny, full format first thing to try.

Download vlc player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html and see if the video files will play in that...

thanks Nathan files worked with vlc first time I've had an issue still trying to find a way to add the file details so they play with the circuit tools app. Thanks for your help really appreciated.

forgot to add data files are good, does this sound like any other fault you have found

Nathan, can the battery used for backup be changed, noticed when I switch off ignition vbox does not stay on for the 30 secs then record before switching off, think this may be the route of the problem

Sorry, missed this. You doing any long journeys? Doesn't have to be same car but 4 hours on charge normally sorts the tank battery.

No need for cams or gps to be plugged in :)

Derek - any chance you can chuck a snip of film up from your vbox lite please mate ? I want to compare the quality with the results I get from mine, I now the bullet cams arent HC but mine seem to be fuzzy compared with others. And yes Nath, I do have them plugged in the right way round !
