I seemed to go mental today and go on a modding spree....

On the hottest day of the year so far, skinned hands, sunburnt too!

But the results are worth it

So today I fitted the following to dear old Cecil:

1/ 12mm spacers all round.
2/ Supersprint 100 cell cats.
3/ Supersprint resonated centre
4/ Brembo GT 4 Pot Front and Rear BBK which i've had for a while, just had them fully rebuilt with new pistons and seals and repainted in Modena Yellow

Happy days :D

Next week, gonna fit my Ohlins Road and Track

Superb.....

I watched the Lions, had a sleep in the sun, watch the Tennis final, had a sleep in the sun, watched F1 qualifying highlights, put up the family tent in the garden, found a dead rat under the TV............then drunk another bottle of Sancerre.

Good work there mate  Your BREMBO BBK solutions look Ace :-D
Is this BREMBOs own, dedicated E46 M3 kit ?

Thanks dude :supz:

Yep it's a full blown Brembo GT Kit for the E46 M3, not a dodgy porsche setup, has 355mm discs on the front 345mm on the rear, nicely balanced.

Ideally i'd have gone for the 6 pot 380mm kit but these came up a while back at a good price so i'm happy :smt055

On the CSL ? :banghead: COOONT

Well I decided to continue with a cleaning frenzy I started on Friday.

Washed, dried, de-tarred and then clayed the whole car.
Emptied the interior of everything and sorted what is actually supposed to be in there.
Cleaned the interior, race glazed the seats and steering wheel.
Dressed the interior plastics.
Cleaned all the door and window rubbers then lovingly massaged some vaseline into them to keep then nice and supple :-D
Polished all the interior carbon panels
Then applied three coats of AG HD wax
Removed the wheels, cleaned de-tarred and applied two coats of poor boys wheel sealant
Dressed the tyres with Megs endurance tyre dressing, allowed to dry then applied 100% silicone spray
Last but by no means least, cleaned and dressed my mudflaps

SHE IS MINTY McMINT :smokin: and im fooked :smt107

Hiya Brian, yep bought it earlier in the year with a buddy of mine, so we're splitting the costs between us. It was into the garage a while back for fresh oil, plugs, etc, but got a fairly clean bill of health overall

Saying that, it'll only be out on the roads in the summer months and not doing too much in the way of mileage. Yesterday was pretty much the first day I've taken it out for a run

Eisenmann is still on it too :smokin:

It's a lovely machine alright and best of luck with it. Mark Keneally had it for a bit I think also and his friend had it badged as a 520 for a while. Bit of a sleeper:-D. I love the noise it makes and it has some of the nicest seats of any BMW I've ever been in. Enjoy!!

Thanks! No badge on the back now, but will probably put the "M5" one back on. Sure it's only got two exhaust pipes, most people will think it's a fake anyway :hahaha:

It's an earlier "Special Order" (what ever that means) fully loaded Dimond Black 3.6 with quite interesting history + a complete crank up engine rebuild 30K miles ago with BMW Main Steeler supplied New block, pistons, duplex chain, rings, HG, New valves (all 24 of them), etc.
I'll tell you more when it arrives tomorrow :smokin:

Thanks Dave, ah it needs a couple of bits doing but overall very happy with it. It just offers something different to the other cars, despite them all wearing BMW badges

I just parked up for a while, grabbed a burger there and then headed off again. The XJ220 was worth seeing though :smokin:
