Finally got round to giving the car a proper detail after the trip, full machine polish and seal and about an hour cleaning pretzel crumbs from every corner of the interior! Ruined all the work 5 minutes later by firing up some local glen roads.

Also bought an ITG filter to see what all the hype was about. Thanks again to trackM3 for a great service. Filter went in really easy and including cleaning the velocity stacks only took around 30-40 mins in total. Definitely a bit more noise low down.

Also added a ring sticker, never been a fan of them but think the car deserves one after the trip.

Any photo critiquing/help always welcome. Just quickly edited in photo bucket, which seems to compress photos a bit much but flickr seem to take forever to upload!

Mine wAsnt too bad until we got to the ring on the way back, as I had kept ontop of it. Then did six laps and a big journey home and it was well and truly minging.

Had some fine scratches and stuff to deal with from using the car wash in munich and Salzburg so had a go with the DA on it for the first time with a fine menzurna (sp?) stuff then poor boys polish and sealant. Happy with the results but need to get more confident before I have a go at taking on some of the deeper marks.

Looks ACE :smokin:
Black does come up well with a good polish :supz:

I gave mine a going over with the buff before the trip then never touched it until the weekend. It was pretty manky I have to say, to the point we were getting brake dust on our hands from opening the doors :hahaha:

Your car did look mint mate. You could tell it had had some recent paint correction based on its appearance but that mark under the bonnet bulge would have bugged me, I'm sure it did you. I noticed Duncan decided to never park his besides yours nor did I! ;)

Haha yep. Annoys the living daylight a out of me. I can't even look at it! Most of the swirls and scratches came out after this detail except that one so it must be bloody deep! And I'm to scared to try and cut that deep. Going in for a frot end tart up soon anyway. In the mean time I just park it looking away from me!

Your car wins the award for the most clean CSL of the Munich trip.
Unbelievably shiny !

I see your power steering fluid container is very dirty.
Its worth cleaning properly the mechanical parts too, not just the paint mate :)

I took the itg filter out of my car and replaced it with a standard one when I opened the air box up,the itg filter fitted poorly and let lots of crap get passed into the air box the much happier with the fit of the standard filter not a lot getting passed it

I had heard that, and had a good look at the fit. wasnt bad at all if I'm honest. Kept the old one, and will check in a few weeks how much its has or hasnt let in.
