Was it just me ? ...or did anyone else NOT see our beloved CSL mentioned much (at all) during the M-Video presentation :smt017
I, for one had high hopes of seeing an actual Prototype Cecil in 1:1 scale there in metal
The E9X M3 UTE with a one off removable tow bar (no less) was V. COOL though

If only BMW ignored the case study from the US market :banghead: and listened to it's UK/EURO clients instead :banghead:
What initially appeared to be an E46 CSL concept from a distance, turned out to be this !!!
Beg, steal or borrow, I would have bought this in a heart beat  E46 M3 Sports Wagon anyone ? :smt055

You and me both Matt, I've even contemplated building one myself, but my lack of practical knowledge and the necessary expertise tells me otherwise.
There is however a UK company that does an M3 Touring Conversion, but it isn't cheap. After seeing the pics, I'll have to look it up again.

As if 6,000,000 EURO worth of McLaren F1 GTR wasn't enough, the ACS guys rolled out this La Mans winning car just for us  BMW V12 LMR :smokin:
mattCSLnut
04-06-2013, 01:41 AM
The BMW V12 LMRs CF air box is an indirect relative of out Cecil's CF air box. BMW did a case study of this race car's air box after the car won La Mans
Incidentally, both Cecil's & the V12 LMR's CF air boxes are made by the one and the very same manufacturer, for BMW :smokin:

I love that. Pretty much every engine I saw over the weekend was naturally aspirated and had a stonking great carbon airbox attached. If you were ever in doubt of the engineering pedigree....not now. No gimmicks here.
