What was the Evo quote..."nothing this side of Mclaren F1 comes close to the noise of a hard worked CSL"

Alps + Tunnels + CSL = :smt055

Friendly advice.

Remove the video from youtube asap unless you feel ok paying huge fines and possibly doing some jail time.

Maybe remove any reference to country, inc on this thread ?

Those roads look just like ones I drove in Kyrgyzstan a couple of years ago....

Well,

There is a department in CH that deals with online videos.
They will calculate the speeds you have by seeing the time you need to cover a specific distance.
The routes are well known and you could never argue/object that is not in CH.
And believe me they will find who is on the video.

Recently they got a biker from Geneva that shoot an extreme video 6 years ago and a friend put his video on youtube on 1st of April, 6 years later.
The guy will do 18 months in jail.

Just to put things in perspective.
I have to pay ~800 CHF fine because I hit a neighbors car in our private space / parking, while reversing.
That's because I was not able to control my car and hit the other guys bumper.
I was lucky not to have the license taken for 3 months...

You could always take your chances.
I thought to give the same advice I would give to a friend of mine.

Ps : an 80 yo lady hit a car with her bike. The police gave her a mega fine for not being able to handle the bike properly...
Now post high speed videos of a CSL in the alps where the limit is 50 or 80...

I am not sure I get it Mike.
A colleague from work skidded on ice a few years back and hit a tree.
He had to pay ~8k CHF for not being in control of his car and going with very high speed (he was doing 50 on a 80 limit, but there was a 10m patch of ice).

A few months back there was a multiple crash in the highway, again due to ice.
All drivers got fines for not being able to control their cars.
A police car also crashed at the scene.

My point is, one thing that is very serious here is driving.
You do something you are not supposed to do with a car, the consequences are severe (foreigners are no exception by the way).

Jon - I think you may get a letter from the authorities saying that they spent 200hours researching your video to find that your average speed was really low, please drive faster next time so they can send you a bill :gayfight:

I doubt they would put much effort into trying to trace a non-Swiss resident - same with the police in this country, they haven't got the resources or man-power to go chasing after non-UK drivers that get camera'd in this country. However, if you're a resident, they will do everything in their power to get you LOL (which appears to be the same with the Swiss authorities).

However, start worrying if EU countries link up driver / registration data bases like they occasionally talk about - but then you still haven't go anything to worry about, as I can't see Switzerland jointing the EU any time soon ;).

Ha, you would be surprised.
CH is linked with UK, FR, DE, IT etc.
I got a few tickets from Italy and Germany

Try your luck guys.
At the end of the day, you can fill in the target buffer and not us :-D

Just use Irish plates as we are linked up to nothing due to soo much red tape and back handers, so everyone can use LeinsCSL's reg plate number :-D
