Looking at the dates, there's only really one other weekend period in July that is worthwhile going for and which deconflicts with your CSL Cup antics:
Friday, 24.07.09 14:15 until 19:30 h
Saturday, 25.07.09 08:00 until 19:30 h
Sunday, 26.07.09 08:00 until 19:30 h
Failing that, August looks better... Any thoughts? I will probably be doing both anyway!

That would be half of this board then! :gayfight: I'll try and get to Donington this year if we're organising something, but will hopefully get to Croft considering its locality anyway.

Well, I am "in for a penny, in for a pound" as my first daughter was born in April 08.. so will be an age gap of ohhhhhhh 15 months... But no more then.. otherwise i wouldnt be able to fit them all in the CSL.
It gets easier after 12 weeks... promise!! :-D

Congrats CSLG....Must be something in the air as my wife is due in a week....she just wants it out now and has been eating hot curry. She has now said I need to step up to the mark and get :smt008 and perform.....Not bloody likely, can not do it....when pregnant it becomes a specialist job,,need to get a man in for that :119:

Not sure how things work over here  But im sure there's scope from the powers that be, to allow for the register to represent at the events... Can only help publicity
CSL Register Meet at Donington!
E46ACS
27-01-2009, 01:15 AM
Donington seems to be the most central/popular for a CSLRegister meet.
Anyone got an 'in' with the organisers to get us an area?
Andyk
27-01-2009, 07:16 AM
Daz, as a competitor couldn't you ask organizers to do something special for the Register....be good to see all the road cars together and as close to the racers as possible....could even get one of the BMW mags to do an article at Donny on the race with some pics of race cars and road....make it a big event for register maybe..........Pie in the sky stuff I know, but worth a thought.

Will have a word and see if I can sort , John is running the series , it's a Dunlop great and British event/weekends so not sure what the format is for non competitors and entrance / space to display park etc.
But will deffo see what is possible

Probably worth doing. The mags are always looking for articles that are more than just an 'individual' car.
A mate knows some of the mags so I could try and make some enquiries, but I would need to know what I am pitching to them.

I would have thought the BMW Car Club mag may be interested as I did a couple of articles for them a while back - when I was a member.

All the Magazines are looking to run a regular update on the series , Total BMW / BMW Car / Performance BMW and EVO , so im sure as they are there it would be something that could be arranged , and probably mentioned anyway if there is a big following / attendance and a meet

It's one of the things that I will miss from the MLR, due to the size of the club the variety of shows & meets were excellent :bigcry:
It would be nice to try and get somethings in place for 09 to put the CSL register on the map as far as car forum clubs go..
It's obviously a lot more difficult when your talking of 422 official UK cars plus overseas members of which not all are registered to help make it happen :hahaha:
