Ideas but we need to move fast. We have searched for other tracks but to no avail.
So here are my thoughts, please post yours and add your name and vote. I wil use this to book or not book events so be certain please. I willowy karting details later today once I've read their offer
So far Monday we leave Munich/Maisach and head to Salzburg hotels via alpine route (some one can plan this with BMW input), arriving hotel early evening. We could take in some scenic roads and have a HOON!
Tuesday we cold have a lazy morning (optional) and I can arrange Karting in Salzburg for the afternoon, finishing 5pm so everybody can go their own way. Otherwise people can do some more alpine driving to the passes instead of karting. vote away PLEASE
I am heading then into the Alps and over to Italy with the wifey who flies out on the Tuesday and back on Friday. SO i am leaving Salzburg about 5pm to the airport and off to Alpine retreat.

I do not mind the karting (depending on the weather) or AC S tour but more than likely people will be off to do their own thing so looking at doing the Eagles Nest tour (drive down looks nice)
(have voted the Karting but I am easy) also got a dodgy scotish git with me so he be happy doing what ever :P

Didn't vote so far, just a view more places in the area
Salzburg has a really nice Old Town.
This is close to: (http://www.kehlsteinhaus.de/en/)
http://www.salzzeitreise.de/en/your-visit/arrival/by-car.html
Schnitzer should be around the corner in Freilassing
http://www.schnitzer.de/ac_kontakt/ac_kontakt.html
Been here a couple a times, nice place, great food and a big parking place
http://www.hangar-7.com/en/architecture/formula-1/
depending where you go there are mountainroeds to Italy-Bolzano, Merano, Timmelsjoch, Kühtai, and back over Garmisch to Munich. Unfortunately there is still some snow in some areas.

Just an update:
ACSchnitzer (5 minutes from the hotel) have confirmed that they still would like us t visit their race car build facility there and they will have their special 1M brought down for some passenger rides through the hills. TSB could be a morning option say 10-1.
Then we could go for a drive or go karting 2-5pm, but not worth karting bless we get enough for a few teams

ACSchnitzer sounds very good indeed. Like the idea of go-karting too.
Myself and streightsix are up for anything that involves either of those!
John also suggested http://www.hangar-7.com/en/the-flying-bulls/aircraft/
Which is pretty close, worth a look.

Yeah Red Bull HQ is so close over at the Salz' airport I'd like to pop in briefly, cool building & loads of Red Bull kit, F1 cars & race bikes + planes!
Basically a dream garage/hangar filled with shiney powerful transport :smokin:
I keep looking at all the mountain passes down south too... think I should have booked longer!

Evening all, shame about our td but never mind we are going to have a cracking weekend without it:beer:
I voted no 1, however, my +1, while being a portly fellow, is very quick in a kart and I am sure if there is a race, we will be staying for it.

well im lost what to do.
my gut feeling is ACSchnitzer in the morning as it will be an easy one after a heavy night.....
and then Karting just because it will be fun and distraction (and i have a good french teammagte :) )
HOWEVER I have no idea on numbers for karting

I'm keeping the hotel group booking for Salzburg but will be having breakfast on the Tuesday and heading off to Rotterdam for the ferry home.
In for anything before that but may be seeing more bars than museums

[QUOTE=shimmy;144713]well im lost what to do.
Can imagine you have had enough of organising already.. If anyone is particularly arsed about doing the karting in the afternoon can they step forward and organise it?
Our plan is to drive back to the 'ring Tuesday and maybe catch a lap or two in the evening(I understand it's open...) have afew beers and get something to eat.
7hour drive, so ideally we will leave salzberg before lunch.
However, if there is a race...

Seems it was hard enough to organise the track day, let alone karting! I've had a look at the karting websites, both the main ones start at 17:00, which is obviously too late.
Which karting place was being considered? If its either of these we can rule out karting straight away!
The AC Shnitzer place looks cool, very up for that. If we can squeeze in Karting brilliant, if not its no big deal.
