Finally started to get ready!

I managed to find a couple of hours today to start looking at the car and make sure its fit for the trip and my short break afterwards which will be about 2600 miles.

Ive had a rattle at the front end suspension since Donny so i thought id take a look under both front wheel arches. Managed to find another loose bolt on the OSF stone guard so tightened it up. I think i need two new front stone guards.

then i took a look at my front discs which were ok before Donny but suddenly looked worse for wear.

so fitted my spare bells/bolts to my new set and swapped over the discs. Added new set of RS29 which will prob squeal all the way to Italy and back.

So tomorrow ill bed them in and then off to Simpsons on Tuesday for a spanner check. Next weekend it will be a thorough clean and load her up ready for 24th.

Wow those discs look terrible.
I've just finished mine.drive belt both pulleys tensioner and guide,fuel filter,coolant,air filter.fitted and tested my go pro.
Only left to retrack my suspension and time to start packing.
Gettin close now can't wait.:thumbs:

Managed to get a full spanner check, oil and filter change, uprated 120/60 springs, geometry set up as well as new rear adjustable camber arms

Just picked up some flange (flanges) from Elms to weld back onto OEM back box to get the rasp back for Munich.

Looks like everyone's beavering away today at them.

I'm fitting a new itg air filter. Cleaning air box (mingin). Engine oil change and filter. (Which local dealers had to order in :wanker:)

Exhaust backbox joint was fixed this morning.

Last week was diff oil swapped with FM

Last night was rear bumper off to fit new pdc sensor and in turn exhaust backbox hangers (3)

And finally I've ordered some new ngk plug's

You could say I've been busy .Cant wait now.

New discs and pads,new Hel braided lines with carbon fibre affect coating :smokin:,new ATE super blue brake fluid and some nice new Castrol 10w/60,PS2s going back on tomorrow as my rear cups were looking a bit ropey.:-D

I've got brand new OE discs and pads all round, spent a little while this afternoon tidying up the interior a bit, cleaning the glass, checking tyre pressures etc. The old discs were pretty ropey, scored on the rears, lipped on the fronts, and they juddered like hell. So this new set is feeling a lot better.

Friday morning at the Chunnel is going to be a really great sight. :smokin:

New rear OE discs and pads went on this morning, first time I've done it and was pretty straightforward (watched a lot of youtube beforehand)

The caliper did move a little more than I expected before the piston was re-compressed and the spring clip re-attached, but it was the same both side and I assume it's normal. Seems to stop fine.

Snowfoam wash this afternoon and a CSLR sticker going on tomorrow, looks like drivers side rear window is the spot to go for.

Spent the last 3 nights in the garage machine polishing the car, it's 1st clean since the respray back in July last year and have to say it's come up pretty clean :-D

Changed out the brake fluid, the SPA Recaro for the std seat and re fitted my old wheels with worn PS2's.

Given that the car has only just come back from a head gasket repair and a service I'm hoping that it's ok mechanically.

Just need to refit the number plates and load it up.

REALLY looking forward to it and catching up with everyone :thumbs:

So back to one odd badly painted oval sensor for the trip grrr.

Just a clean and polish and I'm ready. I'm sure by Friday ill be running round like a headless chicken.
